Better than expected
Started on the 3rd pull after taking it off choke a little. Tested it on my 8000btu a/c first and it worked great - very little speed increase on ECO mode surprisingly. Then I put a 1875 watt hair dryer on it and the dryer ran fine although the generator could only provide 1587 watts ( which is close enough for it's advertised output) for it according to my watt meter. That bumped it up to full rpm naturally. On house current the dryer was pulling around 1850 watts. As far as noise goes, I was surprised how quiet it is. The youtube videos are deceptive, making it sound louder than it actually is. I did notice before starting it up that the generator was test run at the factory because of discoloration of the exhaust tube. I found that reassuring. Overall the quality looks excellent and it runs perfect, especially for a low priced model. Sorry, I can't find anything wrong with it!Update 8/24/20Checked fuel consumption at a couple of different loads:*Window a/c 8000 BTU's @ 650 watts per hour continuous - 40% of rated load = 6.7 hours per gallon - Eco mode ON.*1500 watt electric heater. 94% load: 4.16 hours per gallon - Eco mode off.Update 6/20/2022I just converted this over to natural gas and runs great. Full load watt capacity only dropped by 10-15 watts, but surge watts dropped more.. Hard to say how much, but I can tell there is a little more lag time when a 1500 watt load kicks in for engine to recover on eco mode. Nothing serious with what I run and I notice all generators take a bigger hit on surge when converted. It still starts my 8000 but A/c. with no problem. US Carburetion has kits for these. The only thing hard about the conversion is getting the inside nut off and back on the carb again. It would help a lot if you had another pair of hands in order to tilt the engine over on the mounts while one gets a little ratchet in there. I have not mastered starting the unit on NG yet and I might not. I am just putting about an ounce of gas in the tank and start it that way, then when the motor starts to stagger in a minute or two I start introducing the NG. Very easy this way and makes it it much cheaper to run compared to gasoline. All I have to do when the power goes out is start it and bring out of the garage a couple of feet and she'll just run and run. No more hauling gasoline or worrying if the gas is going bad is a huge benefit.Update 6/28/2022As far as the surge problem goes with the generator running on NG, I discovered that if you eliminate the quick disconnect fittings from the gas line and plug the conversion kit fuel line that goes from the carburetor directly into the regulator thereby eliminating the tiny 3/16 barb fitting that they provide with the kit, it will make the generator run just as well as it does on gasoline. I think this may be why all the tri-fuel generators take such a drastic cut in performance because they don't allow for restrictive fittings. Take a look at the specs on a tri-fuel generator and look what they use for the fittings. Yup, quick disconnects. They have very tiny passageways. The problem is most pronounced when running in ECO mode when a large load hits the generator.Update 4/28/2023I have 30 hours on it now so it should be pretty will broke in. I decided to clock my gas meter and check the Natural Gas usage at different loads today. It seems to do a little better on NG than on gasoline and not to mention that NG is 8 times cheaper than gasoline! Oil looks brand new yet, too.All ECO onNo load idle = 12.82 hours Per cubit foot(PCF). Present Cost of Natura Gas is 45 cents PCF435 watts = 10.13 hours PCF950 watts = 7.15 hours PCF1500 watts = 4.72 hours PCFhttps://www.amazon.com/DuoMax-XP13000HXT-000-Watt-Electric-Generator/dp/B092CJQ51F/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3LEV80YSW7N97&keywords=tri%2Bfuel%2Bgenerator&qid=1656459230&sprefix=tri%2Bfuil%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFGMTNHVUZQQ0pUSkUmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA3NTc2MjMzMTRDVjU2U0hOQU9NJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1MjExNjYyWDBWUkxUVFJaVDRRJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1

Amazing
This is a great generator, I have already used it for 100+ hours. The generator has multiple settings, one includes how long it's been used which is nice to keep track of maintaining it.It is quiet for a generator, under a heavy load it does get louder. But i can still barely hear it inside my house with a TV on.It's able to provide the advertised power. It can surge the advertised watts for about 5 seconds before it will turn the inverter off automatically.Gas is easy to re fuel.Oil is easy to change.Downside is it can't use 120 and 240 at the same time. This doesn't affect my situation as I only need it for 240. My house runs off a separate battery/solar system. When I dont get enough sun I use this generator to charge my battery system.

Great generator, but not quite perfect
I have an old Coleman Powermate generator that served its purpose for keeping some critical appliances on when we lost power after hurricanes. However, it is sooo loud and doesn't run off of propane. I wanted an inverter generator for their pure sinewave output as well as the quieter operation. This A-iPower inverter generator was priced within my budget and I like the idea of it automatically switching fuel sources.I ran this for 5 hours for the break-in period with varying loads as well as switching between propane and gasoline.I really like this generator but didn't give it 5 stars as there are a couple of minor annoyances.- First one was that one of the wheels does not turn easily. It seems the axle has bent and the tire rubs against the body making it very difficult to move the generator around.- Second, when the generator switches from propane to gasoline, the RPMs drop for a second and the power output dips. This could be problematic for sensitive electronics.- Third, there is not an easy-to-access fuel shut off valve. I typically turn off heavy duty gas powered devices (like generators and pressure washers) by cutting off the fuel instead of setting the switch to off. This prevents gasoline from gunking up in the carburetor, particularly if you're not using ethanol free gas.- Fourth, you cannot use the 120V outlets and 240V outlets at the same time. There's a switch that you have to toggle to switch between the two.- Fifth, the red start button on the dial is too easy to press. If you accidentally press it while grabbing the dial, you can engage the starter while the engine is running and wear out the gears.- Finally, one tiny detail is that there's a button you can press to turn on or off the low idle mode which is misspelled as "Low Idel".As a generator, this unit works well and I'm willing to overlook the issues that I've had as they are minor and in the big picture don't affect the normal operation of the generator.

What a bargain!
I have owned several generators through the years. None were more quiet that this one. Most were higher capacity, but I bought this to supplement solar in my Class C motorhome. It is an older one and the generator had been removed. I am doing a complete renovation and placing substantial solar capacity, with battery storage. I also am removing the furnace and air conditioner and installing a mini-split which is much quieter and more efficient. The little generator will be very adequate for my needs. When it arrived I put oil and gas in it and fired it up. After allowing it to run for a while I plugged my air compressor in to it. I was surprise, but in ECO mode it didn't even change RPM. It just worked. I will run it again on Monday and change the first break in oil. After about 15 to 20 hours of use I will change the oil again. On third change I will go to full synthetic.Bottom line, I think the quality is good, it performs well, and WAY cheaper than Honda. We will see how I feel after the first year.
