Beadsmith Metal One Step Looper Tool-5-inch

The best thing I have bought for my Jewellery. It takes a little bit of practice but after that it saves so much time. I would fully recommend.

I had watched several You Tube tutorials on how to use this wonderful tool and the demonstrators all made it look incredibly easy. So much so, that when I didn't produce a perfect loop the first time round, I was hugely disappointed. After quite a few attempts, I managed to produce my first usable loop and from then on, I became steadily less ham-fisted. I would add that I've been making jewellery for a few years now so I do know (more or less) what I'm doing and I did consider going back to the traditional method for a while. Anyway, I have mastered the Looper and I would say that the theory behind the tool is sound but you do have to play your part in order to get good results. I find if I haven't used it for a while, I tend to end up with a little pile of mangled headpins before I get into my stride but once I'm 'in the zone', then I'm flying! Would I recommend it - yes, I would and indeed I have.

I have the Beadsmith Big Looper, which I love, but I needed smaller loops for a particular project and decided to try Vintaj this time. It's not a bad piece of kit and I'm glad I got it, but it's a bit more fiddly to get the eye-loop anywhere near closed - the first twenty or so I ended up with more hoops than rings, and it was hard to then bend them into the right shape neatly enough and I ended up discarding a dozen or more. Even now I have the hang of it I have to pay attention, and I still can't guarantee getting a closed loop every time. It's also impossible to get the loop right up to the edge of the bead, so be prepared for a little play there. (If it matters, I have to revert to the normal pliers.) On the other hand, it's so much quicker and neater than round-nosed pliers, and it's wonderful for creating eye-pins - I get so many more done.

The best tool i ever bought for my jewellery making - as soon as i can afford it i will be buying the larger one too as my only (very small) niggle is that the loops are a bit too small - but very easy to use and ideal for me as i have joint problems so reduces the amount of pressure i need to put on my joints as the whole process is done in one-step (just as it says on the label!!!!) :D

A brilliant tool - feels lovely and tactile, easy to use, makes beautiful loops and means that all your work looks uniform when creating multiple loops!

Great item, easy to use from the very first one. Makes perfect loops everytime. Clear instructions, comfortable handle and loop on both side of bead even and neat. Well worth the money!!!
