This replacement has both sides of filters with fine folds to pick up extra fine dirt. Ends are no longer open but closed so a lot less fallout when you take it out of water. Filters are smaller so my old replacements don’t fit in this apparatus but filter is better.

I had this basket less than 2 months and the housing tabs broke already for one of the baskets. The one that came with my dolphin pad lasted 2 years before any issues. For the price point I was not expecting low quality.

Be delicate with this filter assembly. The weak point(s) are the clips that hold the filter “towers” to the base. The oem and this replacement assembly both broke in the same places. If you buy a dolphin, they work fine, the filter assembly design needs improvement. Complete your warranty if you buy one.

Our last filter assembly lasted about 6-7 years until plastic began breaking apart. It's a weaker link in an otherwise stupendous pool robot by Dolphin. This assembly while pricey gives our Dolphin robot a new lease on life. Thanks for making these spare parts.
