Great wax
Really love this wax it does have an odd smell but if your making candles that’s easily covered by essential oils

Overpowering smell and unable to use the pellets
I was super excited to find these on sale, and since the reviews I had read were mostly positive, I decided to get some to make some medicinal salves as Christmas presents for family and friends.I will not be using this for anything. The moment I opened the shipping box (not even the box that contained the sealed plastic bag that contains the pellets), I could smell a sickly sweet floral perfume that smells like something from the deodorant and cleaning aisles of a grocery store. I’ve had the box and bag open on my kitchen table for two weeks hoping the smell would dissipate, but it’s still strong as the day it arrived. I can’t make salves from this because I myself have scent sensitivities and have friends with much worse perfume allergies. Because this is not a typical beeswax scent, I don’t know what’s actually in these pellets or if they’re coated in something, so I can’t make medicinal salves with it and guarantee that they’re safe to use on skin. I can’t even make candles from them because I don’t know what’s making that smell and if it could be harmful if burned or even melted. I basically wasted $30+ on something I can’t use, and I’m on an extremely limited budget (mobility disabled). I’m trying to get it returned, but there’s been no response from the seller so far. I just wanted to make some homemade gifts for friends in need…and now I have a 10lb paperweight that smells like baby powder and bathroom spray had a baby together and plopped it in a box. Don’t get it, guys.

Good quality and easy to use
So I am a chef and during the pandemic I was out of work, so I started doing some private events. I decided that I could make my own cutting boards for the events and started researching the best conditioners for the boards. Then I decided to make my own using a combination of Mineral Oil and Beeswax.Originally I was getting beeswax in bricks that kind of looked like gold bricks and I was chopping them up myself. Once I found out I could get these pellets, it changed the game completely. It makes it so much easier when the beeswax is in smaller pieces and these are so much smaller than I ever chopped them.Since I had all this beeswax, I decided to make some candles and then I figured I could also make some of those reusable food wraps.I keep finding ways to use more beeswax. This wax just smells really good, so I really like messing around with new beeswax projects. This is also such a good price for the amount and quality, I don't stress out too much about using it.

Excellent for long burning candles
I was looking for low priced supplies to make long burning candles for living history events. I am suspicious that this stuff is not real beeswax but I took a chance. Whatever it is, it makes really nice candles that look like beeswax and burn beautifully. I will be buying more.

This is not pure beeswax
I really hate giving low reviews and I have debated on if I should, but I think other buyers should know. They get one star for Amazon’s delivery being on time. This was on sale so I thought I would give it a try, even though others claimed it wasn’t pure beeswax. The claim is that it’s organic cosmetic grade beeswax. Well, you can tell by looking at the pellets that it isn’t. If you have never used real beeswax before then you could totally be fooled. I made taper and pillar candles with the wax. First, you can smell the wax through the box and plastic bag. It’s a chemically, plastic smell that’s masked in like baby powder scent or something. It’s terrible and you can smell it across the room. Then, the finished product is VERY shiny and super hard/flakey. When I took them out of their molds and sat them down it sounded like hard plastic hitting the table.I would not put this in or on my body. I’m a little concerned about burning it because I have no idea what’s in it. I’m considering having the wax tested before doing anything else with it.If the company can produce a REAL report stating that it’s what they claim, then I will just chalk it up to a difference in regions/flowers and accept it. If not, or if my testing comes back saying something different I will report them. I’m tired of the toxins and poisons that are allowed in cosmetics, food, health products, etc…and the lies.If you are cool with all of this then get you some.
