Beats paying full retail
Why pay full retail? Why pay monthly for this device from tmobile? Getting it here makes sense. Once you receive your device contact tmobile CS and give them the IMEI number to verify device is UNLOCKED. Once they confirm it's unlocked then request for mobile sim card to be sent to you. You need to pick a data plan for this which will be added onto your tmobile account. I can't tell you which plan is best for you. Only you know how much data you will be using. One advice I can give is don't use a charging block rated at 20W. Device will time out due too over temperature limit when plugged in. Just use the included charging block. It may say fast charging on it. However the output is lower then 20W. Other than that its perfect for what I'm using it for. Please keep in mind certain areas may show less than 5G connection. That's nothing to do with the device. It has to do with the distance you are at to the cell tower sending out the 5G signal. In summary - if you are the market for a mobile hotspot device this is well worth the money. It works like it's designed to do. Regardless if it's renewed

Arrived on time. Bought as refurbished-excellent but looks likenew. Charging cable and adaptor were in original packaging. I took it to the T Mobile store. They installed the sim card, set up the account, gave me a brief tutorial and it was up and running. T Mobile’s price when they have it in stock is $198.00. Amazon refurbished-excellent price was under $50.00. No brainer! I still believe it was a new one. When I removed it from the box and pressed the On button the T Mobile logo appeared. It had a 56% charge on the battery but quickly charged up to 100%. Couldn’t be more pleased. Three buttons will navigate you through the entire process. It connected to my iPhone immediately. I haven’t tried the TV yet, but I am confident that it will do the job. Just remember, you must be able to receive a T Mobile signal from your location in order for it to work.

Device Good and Bad
Device is working; however it's locked to (T-mobile) Mobile management. If you don't know what this is, its when the device, after factory reset, sets the SSID and Password (with configuration settings) from the cloud. This also makes it unable to access admin settings (due to Mobile Management enabled), set any setting for the device. So unable to set any device settings.Unfortunately, this may not be a deal breaker for you when purchasing this device, however, you will not be able to set the SSID or Password for this device if mobile management is enabled. If this isn't an issue and you want to have to enter a 30-digit code every time you enter your password for Wi-Fi then by all means.Pros are this device is usable with any T-Mobile network. I went with Tello and ordered a sim card with no issue.Device is not unlocked as stated in the description, and clearly shows (status locked) code pin in admin management. If you want an unlocked code, you will need to call T-Mobile and ask them requirements to unlock device and maybe they will give you the unlock pin code.Lastly, with Mobile management enabled, its possible the user account its setup under can track location services on the device. I'm not saying this is happening, just want people to be aware that with this enable, the person the device is under their account could get locations of the device itself, or lock the device.

Just like New, great standby battery life.
Purchased this for use in my motorhome. Where I store my motorhome there are no hookups. Were in Florida, I wanted to monitor the heat and humidity inside the MH while stored, I purchased this hotspot and activated it on Tmobiles 30gb monthly plan for $10 mth and put a Govee bluetooth/wifi thermostat in the motorhome. Now I can track the temp and humidity with the Govee App, if it gets to hot or cold I will get a notification.Ive been amazed at the battery life on this hotspot, I know my use is very light but it has to be on, and it stays on for a couple of weeks. I plan on adding some more wifi devices like motion & battery voltage soon, I've already added a solar panel outside the carport to keep the house batteries topped of so now I just plug this hotspot into the MH 12v with a usb cig adaptor and I'll not need to remember to charge the hotspot every few weeks.

boom fast and easy - but pre-powned
as a hotspot device it works great, its fast and easy to use.the great:the USB port works great for tethering at highspeed as well as supports ETHERnet OTA adapeer for use either as a tethered USB or NIC device. Good radios and got full 5G UC speed with no issue the fastest i have seen TMOBLE run for me. 300+mb on a good day, but when i needed it most was lucky to get 15mb i don't blame the device it was the carrier.did need to get my sim re-provisioned as a 'mi' device and seemed to make it work a little better.the bad: its locked to t-mobile, and t-mobile is clueless about how to unlock on the first call and not found time to try again. but the device clearly has an unlock provision/function the carrier are unable or unwilling to use. (will try again some day)the ugly: the device i received is already owned in the MDM infra , and no obvious way to log on or take it back, which is kind of a non-starter for more than this being treated as an emergency limited use device. Who exactly has creds to re-provision it from the MDM ? not sure. thats a problem. mabye enough to consider returning it if there is no work around solution.device is great but not sure the savings as a referb unit is worth it.

Expensive, but stays on line
The problem with cheaper hotspots is that they stop working and have to be reset after a short while. If you are relying on this to provide internet to a remote location that you can't reset, then you have to pony up the bucks for this unit which will stay online for months at a time.
