Great Skirmish Game with fun campaign rules and excellent terrain
I recently picked up the core set and have painted a few of the minis. Have been learning the rules and played my first matches this week.It has a great ruleset that is easy to learn and not onerous at the table. We didn't have to reference the book much the first game and I think after a match or two you'll pretty much have everything learned. This is a huge improvement over N18, Necromunda, which is also a lot of fun, but requires you to constantly look up rules (and we were using the free online community compilation of rules-- I can't imagine trying to play using the official books). Necromunda also takes forever to play in addition to the daunting task of figuring out which of the 600 pages of rules/abilities/cards to include in your game or campaign.Combat Zone has all the same kinds of fun as Necromunda: Over the top characters with lots of interesting special powers, fun gear to peruse/buy, crunchy shooting and melee mechanics that tell a story, great 3D landscapes/terrain, fun campaign advancement, veteran characters dying off, etc... but it is so much more accessible than Games Workshop. It even includes a cool reaction mechanic that borrows from Infinity (another overly complex ruleset). It is a very player friendly system to get into: The special rules for each gang are presented on their character cards and the gear cards which are included with the gang boxes. Way better than requiring you buy separate miniature and gang rulebooks. You can run a complete campaign for two with what's in the starter box. This will get to table much more easily than Necromunda or Infinity. It is much more player friendly. Great system, highly recommended! Gonna try to pull in a few more friends to our campaign.

Good Set
Shipping was a little problematic, but it arrived without damage to the box. The set includes characters of two gangs, hacking cards, items, objectives, dice, a ruler, many indicators, one cargo container, and the combat zone props. Two books are in the set, one of which is for instructions and the other for two-person scenarios. All in all, the set includes all that is advertised on the page and the quality is quite good.

Great Product. Kinda meh shipping
The game itself looks great and the box arrived complete and in good shape. It did take a very long time to ship, about three weeks. There was not a lot of recourse to see what was going on with the delay. Luckily, it turned out not to be a stock issue.I have had more time with the product. The miniatures are, for the most part, very good. Some mold lines, but nothing crazy. One of the minis, the Tiger Claw leader, is made of a different material and is far more brittle than the others and broke almost right out of the box. That was disappointing and has proven nearly impossible to fix.The rules are pretty great. Monster Fight Club has continually updated PDFs of the full rules on their site and new scenarios being posted monthly. One downside, is that a newer edition of the starter box is on its way out soon. This box is not that old. Getting a new starter set so soon after launch is a bit of a drag for consumers, but It does not negate the validity of this set. Unlike how Games Workshop/Warhammer would have handled it.

Great range
The range of miniatures are great, specially the stretchers. If you are using them for Cyberpunk Combat Zone, these guys aren't an actual gang, and this is technically not a starter set. Unlike the other starter sets, this boxed set does not come with Loot, Equipment and Objective cards. Only character cards and an additional scenario.
