The media could not be loaded. Helps to purify water and remove chlorine, fluorine and calcium. Does it work? Hard to say, without proper equipment to test the water, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because these stones feel look and smell real as all the others I've tried. At the very least it will help, I doubt anything can filter out completely all the toxins in our water supply, but every little bit helps I'd say. 6 Bags are in the box, and they should be full to the brim. Just about enough for the shower head where they go inside the neck.If there is no space, have to update the shower head, because really old ones aren't designed to house these stones. Any negatives? If I could pick one I guess I would prefer just a bit more in each bag because my shower head neck's are large and there's a bit space spare making me use a bit more from another bag just for 1 shower head, but these should last bout 6 months of regular use, then replace with new stones. 3 months if it's used daily between 4+ people, but this varies depending on time the water is running. I use 10-15 minutes and 2 people use the shower so mine should last 6 months.
