Favorite for my great-grand kids.
My gt grand kids ages 4 to 7 play with these every time the visit. I really need another set. The size of pieces are easy for the four year old to handle and stack. Arranging the colors keeps them occupied for some time.

Great for kids.
My son lekker brain puzzles and this was definetly a tough one for him as a 10 year old but he loves the challenge.

Not as simple as you think! :)
The box says 4 and up...but this puzzle gets harder and harder as you work your way through the guide. It challenges your thinking skills, problem solving abilities and spacial reasoning. It is also great for eye hand coordination. You and your child(ren) will be surprise just how tough some of the levels can be. I found it fun and exciting. It is brightly colored, the shapes are smooth to the touch and easy to manipulate. I also love that it is wood and not more plastic. Enjoy!

Decent
Difficulty level was harder than expected (I work with k-5th). nice color, easy storage, fun when the child could figure it out, instructions could be better

Poor quality
The product box and at least one of the cards were damaged. It was clear it was a returned product by the price of a new product.

excellent!
This is a fantastic puzzle cube! The quality of the wood pieces, booklet and even box is unbeatable. The puzzle combinations are definitely a brain tease. I appreciate the book with the numerous possibilities and how to solve the cube. My little kids enjoy as well as the adults who play it. The price surely does this puzzle justice, high quality and endless hours of enjoyment. A great gift for ages 3+

A fun and challenging puzzle
When I did the first puzzle I thought this was going to be way too easy. Boy, was I wrong! I breezed through 1-8 but now I’m stuck on level 9. I’ll get it eventually. The pieces are colorful and easy to match to the solution if you get stuck and there is a bag to keep the base and pieces in. The book will give you the solution but I discovered even though I made the cube according to the starting diagram, when I finished it the colors of one of the cubes was different. I still completed it, though. I guess maybe 2 of the cubes are the same shape but different colors. This puzzle is fun but frustrating at times, but that’s the mark of a good challenging puzzle. I give it thumbs up.

nice puzzle set for the thinkers
Ok so this is day 1 with these Soma Cubes. I'm on puzzle 7 and it's pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect. The instructions are more of a guide...which they have to be.So in the first few puzzles you only have to add 1 or 2 bricks to complete the puzzles BUT you have to get the rest of the cube setup, right? They show 1 image of the partially completed 3D cube on the first page, and when you turn the page, they show you how to complete that puzzle in steps 1-4. So setting up the cube to the point that is shown in the first image means that you have to do some thinking and experimenting to get the puzzle set to what the picture shows. It's good.As you go they give you less and less of the setup so you really have to play and experiment unless you're already a 3D puzzle master.I was thinking that maybe my 7-year-old could do this by himself but I don't think he'll have the focus to get past the first 6. Of course, there are some younger kids that will sit and tinker which is awesome. It seems that the puzzles are mixed in once you get past the first 8 or so, meaning that they aren't labeled intermediate or hard. The tray and cubes are nicely done. The pattern on the bottom of the tray is laser cut in. The cubes sit loosely in the tray which is better for maneuverability. There is a really cute little storage bag but for the life of me, I can't figure out why it isn't 3 inches bigger so you could store the book in there too. The cubes and tray fit if you jam them in. The booklet is well done and the directions are clear, simple, and in a legible-sized font which is a nice change.Overall I'm happy to have this in our puzzles and I'll be bringing it to our family Christmas getaway.
