Very good tasting coffee
My co-workers and I cannot stand our office coffee. So, we usually bring in whole bean to grind and make our own carafe during the week. Because I am used to whole bean coffee (which always seems so fresh), I wasn't sure about using ground coffee at first. But, I may be a convert. It arrives vacuum sealed and absolutely PACKED FULL. Additionally, the bag pretty much takes up the entire space of the box. We made our first pot today and EVERYONE agreed that it was really, really good coffee. I'm sure now that the bag is opened, it will not be quite as good if left lying around too long, but I don't think that is going to be an issue for us. Highly recommend.

Fine Aroma, Fine Taste
My first impression upon opening opening DAVIDOFF coffee was the absolute perfection of the packaging of this product. I knew it would be fresh, well preserved and well cared for. It came from a place of love. The grind was fine….very fine. I love a fine grind in coffee. It implies a strong, robust flavor. The aroma was very nice. The texture of this cup was very smooth, actually velvety. BUT…..yes, there is a but. I like my coffee to taste pure. Unadulterated. This coffee, to my taste, has an underlying flavor which, probably, designer coffees take pride in. It is not a discernible flavor. I suppose it is a fruit flavor of some kind. It masks the flavor of pure coffee. And, it lingers in the mouth as a subtle aftertaste. It is present, like a mild dessert coffee, an after dinner coffee.I would not say “no” to drinking it again, but I would not choose it as my morning breakfast coffee.

Sadly, not as good as it used to be.
Not sure what’s happening, but this batch lacked flavor and taste. Sand-like material. Disappointed.

Makes a decent cup of coffee
I am always up for trying a new type of coffee, and this one did not disappoint. I was pleased to see that it came in 4 smaller (250g) bricks packaged separately. Given this is ground coffee and not beans, having it in smaller portions will be helpful for maintaining freshness while working through the supply. Upon opening the brick (which was tightly vacuum-sealed) there was a lovely aroma. I have been using this coffee to make regular brewed coffee, and it makes a nice flavorful cup. It is a fairly light-medium roast and has a bit of acidity to it, but it is not unpleasant. The intensity of the flavor is good using my normal amount of coffee grounds. I am happy with this variety.

Decent medium roast that tastes more like a light roast
This one is listed as a 7/12 intensity and that is about spot on...maybe a hair less (6/12) as it really is a very medium roast brimming on a light roast. It arrives in a solid brick pack that you open and put in a containerLight in color and the aromatics are very muted but present when smelling just the grounds themselves and during brewing. Some coffees will fill the air with very strong aromatics. This is not one of them.If you like milk in your coffee this will only require a minimal amount of you will quickly blunt the taste of the coffee itself. As for taste, it is decent. It is not strong with very powerful, forward facing notes but still tasty. It is definitely mild. I would recommend this on its own and not paired with anything (pastries, muffins, etc...) as it will quickly get lost. I like a coffee when I'm snacking on a pastry to stand on its own whether sipping or dipping and this one is just a touch too weak for that.

Smooth and Delicate
Initial inspection:Fine grind.Medium+ roast.Pleasant aroma, but not beguiling. When brewed in a drip pot:Smooth flavor. We made several pots of varying amounts.Good comments from guests on Superbowl Sunday. Some drank it with additives, others without (black). Not too bad after it has been sitting several hours in the pot. (Ages well.)When brewed in a 9-cup stainless steel mocha pot:Very smooth. Even more-so than from the drip pot.Delicate flavor. Very little 'bite'.Lacks the jolt of a dark roast or espresso even though the ratio of coffee to water was approximately 2x greater than the drip pot.Lost intensity as it cooled and my interest gradually waned.Consumed without additives except for the last 2 ounces. When brewed as a pour-over:Lackluster.(Pour-over is our preferred brewing method when we travel. Not gonna happen.)When brewed in a French press:Still smooth.A subtle flavor difference...perhaps nut-like.Style:Ratios were determined by scoops per cup of water. Nothing was weighed. Some scoops may have been compressed while others were not.Water source did not vary. Conclusions:Smooth and delicate, but not my preference.

DAVIDOFF Fine Aroma Ground Coffee
This coffee is finely ground and has a very pleasant scent to it. When brewed, it is on the lighter side of medium, which I find to be perfect as a base. By itself, it tastes nice. There is a slight acidic taste to it but no bitterness. I like the option of adding flavors to my coffee. This is also perfect for that, the coffee still comes through but does not overpower the flavoring. It comes in 4, vacuum sealed bricks. They are easy to store. Each brick is packed full of coffee, so it will last a while.

Coffee can be so subjective
We prefer a bold flavor coffee in the morning and this just did not fill the bill. Brewed on the bold setting but it was still mild to us. Not really impressed with the flavor profile. We are not coffee connoisseurs and I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it. Personal taste is very subjective and this just was not for us. It is very finely ground which is not a problem for some but I prefer a courser grind. It does have a nice aroma and I expect some folks would find it satisfies them.
