Great, durable steel pail. Just be sure to dry thoroughly and keep away from water/moisture
I got this pail for a very specific job and it did that job wonderfully. There was a large boulder in my lawn that I was having to use a jackhammer to break up and remove. While the primary destination for the shattered rock fragments were a utility cart, the more of the rock I removed and the deeper the hole I dug, the greater the need arose to have an intermediary place to put the rocks and dirty in to get them to the cart. A shovel wasn't an option. Nor was any trowels or scoops. But, I had a perfect spot in the hole for this pail. I didn't baby it at all and was pleased at how few dings or dents I wound up with. It was durable and able to handle a lot of rock fragments at one time. It was a big timesaver and also a backsaver since I could lift more at a time and therefore lift less often. While a durable plastic pail may have done just as well, I just felt more confident that steel was a better guarantee. And, I was no disappointed. Now, one thing I did notice afterwards (days and weeks later) was that, despite how thoroughly we cleaned out and dried off the pail, there was spots of rust forming around the bottom. It was stored inside and away from any direct rain but the level of moisture in the air still seemed to be enough to affect it. The description does say there is a rust inhibitor lining but, it also clearly states this is meant to be used for oil based or solvent based materials. I obviously used it in a very different way that easily could have damaged any invisible protective coating it had. That's why, after some debating, I decided to still give it 5 stars instead of just 4. I acknowledge that my chosen use of the pail invalidated any warranty that might have existed and it still wound up in much better shape than expected. I just might pick up a can of spray-on bed liner and see how that works with it.

Works great as stage one separation.
Works perfectly as a first stage collection pail with the "Delmar Tools Low Profile Dust Separator". Great fit and plenty strong structurally to handle the vacuum whereas the plastic one I used caved in under full vac. As others have mentioned if you are using this around any moisture you should at least rattle can the inside with something. Otherwise, it will rust quickly.

Perfect for CNC Dust Collection - Tough and Dependable
I’m using this Vestil 5-gallon steel pail as the collector for my CNC dust collection system, and it’s worked perfectly. The steel construction is sturdy enough to handle the suction and debris without collapsing, warping, or cracking like some plastic buckets might under constant use. It’s also the right size for compact shop setups - 5 gallons is plenty for collecting fine dust and shavings before needing to empty, and the open-head design makes clean-out simple. The handle is solid, and the overall build quality feels like it’ll last a long time.If you’re looking for a reliable, heavy-duty pail to pair with your dust separator or shop vac in a CNC or woodworking setup, this is a great option.

Better than any plastic bucket.
It is made of ferrous steel, so it does rust. But it is still better than the pladtic buckets because the handle won't cut into the plastic

Steel pail
Pretty basic steel pail. Nothing to complain about. Seems to be built well.

You'd better paint it with waterproofing paint or it will rust apart in 6 months.
Of your bucket is going to get wet, you'd better paint it with waterproofing paint or it will rust apart in 6 months. Other than rusting, no probs.

Fair product, horrible S&H
I received four units of this product, but unfortunately, they all arrived with damaged packaging and varying degrees of dents. If handled and shipped properly, the product would be suitable. Would not recommend.
