Simply Amazing!
First, let me say I’m not particularly skilled with automotive audio, so I was in over my head when I pulled all the harnesses out of the bag. To help others in a similar situation, I’ve included pictures showing where all the wires connect, as most reviews only show the final product after installation. The installation process took me about an hour, though it could have been faster if I hadn’t initially installed the camera cable incorrectly.I was hesitant to order this product at first and spent a lot of time deliberating. I finally decided to purchase it after seeing over 100 reviews, most of which were nearly 5 stars. When I received the unit, I was confident it would work right out of the box and that customer service would be helpful if needed. For the most part, I was right.Out of the box, the unit was missing the CANbus setting (Luzheng-Ford-Explorer). However, this wasn’t a significant issue because customer service responded quickly. Within 24 hours, they sent me a zip file to download, along with clear instructions for updating the unit. Once I followed the steps, the AC controls worked correctly. An important tip for 2016 models:If your AC unit looks like the one in my last picture, be sure to select Explorer Double Auto in the factory settings during setup.Initially, the backup camera didn’t work for me, but that was because I hadn’t pushed the connector in far enough to make proper contact. Make sure all your connections are secure during installation.Additional Setup Notes:There are lots of settings to configure, so make sure you take the time to set everything up as needed. To update the unit to the latest firmware, you’ll need to connect it to Wi-Fi or a hotspot.A Few Minor Issues and Installation Tips:The AC vents required some extra care when removing and reinstalling the unit. The original screws from the Explorer didn’t fit the new unit, so I had to find slightly larger screws to make it work. While the unit is off, you can take the opportunity to remove the center speaker and run the GPS adapter wire neatly in front of it. Use the provided trim tool to wedge one side and pop the speaker cover off carefully (it’s attached with screws, so don’t yank it off completely). Once you’ve run the GPS wire, snap the speaker cover back into place for a professional-looking install. For the microphone, I ran the wire through the AC vent and left it slightly loose in case I needed to pull it out later. The only drawback is that it might prevent you from fully closing the vent, but that’s a minor issue and hardly noticeable. All of my interactions with customer service were above and beyond my expectations for an aftermarket seller. They were prompt, thorough, and extremely helpful at every step. I’m writing this review because they deserve recognition for not only providing an amazing product but also for offering outstanding customer service.Again, I’ve included pictures showing where all the wires connect to help others avoid confusion. Hopefully, this saves you time and effort!

Good solution to a radio / screen problem
I waited to review this product after I have had it installed for a couple of months. The box I received was marked Ford Explorer but I had problems when I installed it. After some troubleshooting I discovered that I received a Ford F150 truck control module. It was similar enough that most things worked, but not everything. There were also some things that I could change and others that I couldn't on the menu. I emailed the manufacturer and they responded in a timely manner and were helpful. Given the language difference, it sometimes took more than one email for them to understand me or visa-versa. After waiting awhile, they sent me the correct module and everything is working now. There are still a few things that I don't like. The back up camera video isn't great, the screen is easily washed out in sunlight, the dark screen at night is still too bright (even though I have the setting all the way down), there are a couple of indicator lights above the video screen that are very bright at night and there is no way to turn them down (I put a piece of electrical tape over them), the radio takes over my phone even if I am on a call when I turn the vehicle on. Even with all that, it is still a good upgrade over my original system and is much much better than one sold by Awesafe (which is terrible). It is also a better solution that replacing in kind with a used unit from Ebay, which is almost what I did.

Ford Explorer Limited - 2012 review
This infotainment is great. I replaced my original OEM 2012 limited Sync 2 to this. Complete 100% plug and play ready. Make sure to use their plastic prying tool. Great quality, would purchase again. Took about an hour and a half start to finish to install. Highly recommend. Great product, great customer support. Thank you!

THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE
THE 24/7 SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. AFTER CALLING NUMEROUS TIMES I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE THE NEXT MORNING. TEXTED THEM A LIST OF ISSUES AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO EMAIL ME A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT I HAVE YET TO SEE. I TRIED TO ASK WHEN TO EXPECT IT AND GOT NO RESPONSE....AND NOW HERE ARE ALL THE ISSUES. BEZEL IS NOT THE CORRECT ONE SO STEREO CANNOT BE INSTALLED WITHOUT CUTTING INTO DASH OR CUTTING AWAY AT THE BEZEL. THE SOUND IS ABSOLUTELY HORRID, FRONT SPEAKERS HAVE HARDLY ANY SOUND AND EQ SETTINGS DONT HAVE MUCH EFFECT AT ALL. CAN NOT HEAR THE STEREO OVER THE WINDOW WIND. TOP LEFT OF SCREEN FLASHES INTERMITENTLY. SOUND FADES OUT FOR NO REASON. STEER ANGLE LINES ON REVERSE CAM ARE STUCK TO THE LEFT AND NOT RESPONSIVE. HVAC BLOWS INTERMITENTLY AND WHEN IT DOES A/C DOESNT WORK. HEATED SEATS ONLY WORK ON DRIVERS SIDE AND WONT FULLY HEAT UP. PRESETS ERASE AFTER EACH IGNITION CYCLE. ANDROID AUTO KEEPS DISCONNECTING AND RECONNECTING FOR NO REASON. DASH NO LONGER COMMUNICATES WITH RADIO SO IT DOES NOT DISPLAY ANYTHING TO DO WITH NAVIGATION, RADIO, OR PHONE. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A LOT OF THESE ISSUES WILL CLEAR UP WITH THE PROPER UPDATE BUT I STILL HAVE THE BEZEL ISSUE AND I CANT GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE TO CLEAR THAT UP SO I MAY AS WELL RETURN IT AND TRY ANOTHER BRAND OR THE SYNC 2 TO SYNC 3 OEM UPGRADE.

Missing parts
I got the product and everything was great until I tried to turn the back up camera on. I am missing at least two pieces for it and the defrost does not work. The quality of the picture is pretty solid and the volume was good. The radio is also really easy to use as well.Update: I decided to give the buyer 5 stars because he helped me fix the issues I was having. He sent me the missing pieces and helped me get my defrost to work (debugging stuff). He was responsive but give him some time because he is in a different time zone. He really helped me get everything I needed.
