Healthy snack
As someone who is always looking for natural ways to boost my immune system, I was intrigued by the idea of incorporating mushrooms into my diet. The combination of cacao, oats, and raspberries in these bars is not only delicious but also provides a well rounded mix of flavors. The cacao adds a rich and indulgent taste, while the oats give a hearty and satisfying texture. The sweet and tangy taste of raspberries ties everything together perfectly. I feel more energized and focused, and I haven't even had the urge to reach for my usual mid-afternoon coffee pick me up.

Beware A Festival Of Flatulence!
The media could not be loaded. My husband and I tried these Shroombars at the same time so that we could compare the flavours and textures. My opinion:It looks and feels like a soft, flat, moist cake bar. You get a hint of cacoa, a taste of raspberries and a touch of date, but I couldn’t really taste the oats. Whilst chocolate and raspberries would be my idea of heaven, this bar doesn’t combine the flavours how I’d expect. I was disappointed and my sweet tooth was unfulfilled. My husband’s opinion:Chewy, tangy, reasonably pleasant. Would happily eat again….My husband finished his bar, whereas I only ate a third of mine so hubby polished mine off too. This is where the evening took a turn….Within a couple of hours, my husband began to experience a rumble in the jungle. Over the next four hours he could have powered a wind farm. Even a couple of trips to the loo didn’t slow down the hurricane that was raging. There was just no stopping this raging bowl storm. We looked at the box the bars come in and it states “excessive consumption may lead to laxitive effects” I don’t call less than 2 bars excessive, so be warned if you plan to purchase these snacks, don’t go eating them in public as you may end up creating a new hole in the ozone layer!

Tasty. Only 10% sugar.
A box of smallish bars that are quite compact. You can cut these with a knife without them being sticky, but they won't fall apart.A lovely chocolate flavour with a hint of raspberry, they are quite moreish. A shame that at £2.16 each you don't want to eat too many on one sitting! They have about 30% protein and 10% sugar, so although not overly healthy, are better than a chocolate bar.Long shelf life.

Shroombar Exceeds Expectations
This is a very clever take on providing the goodness of mushroom extracts in a delicious edible bar ‘ Shroombar’, pretty clever memorable name!I am a firm believer in the benefits of taking mushroom supplements - I am hugely into intensive training (Boxing and Muay Thai) and consequently take a myriad of different mushroom extract supplements . I take Chaga, Reishi, Lions Mane, Cordyceps, Shiitake and have really noticed the benefits. Here are my thoughts regarding the 'Shroombar':👍 The Good✅ **Innovative Concept- The idea of incorporating mushroom extracts into a snack bar is both innovative and clever. It's a unique way to get the benefits of mushrooms in a tasty format.✅ **Delicious Taste- The combination of raspberry and cacao not only makes the bar delicious but also adds a satisfying texture. The oats provide a fulfilling snack that helps stave off hunger during the day.✅ **Sustained Energy- I've noticed a more consistent energy level throughout the day when eating these bars, which is a big plus for anyone looking to avoid energy crashes.✅ **Texture- Contrary to some opinions about the tiny pips, I believe they add to the bar's quality, giving it a more natural and enjoyable texture.✅ **Variety- The availability of other flavours like "Pineapple, Oat, and Goji" offers a good variety for those looking to mix things up.✅ **Transparency- Its was great reading the story of 'Ed & Georgie' (The founders of this product) - It made me feel more comfortable trying out the bar. I also like the fact that there is an associated website which contains a wealth of information about this and other products plus companies values etc. Its worth navigating to just to get additional info.👎 The Bad❌ **No Downsides Noted- I’ve found no issues with the product itself in my experience.🔍 **Conclusion:**The Press Healthfoods Shroombar has exceeded my expectations in many ways. It's not just a snack; it's a clever way to incorporate beneficial mushroom extracts into your diet. The taste and texture of the bar are spot on, making it an enjoyable treat. While I already use various mushroom supplements, this bar opens up a new and convenient way to enjoy their benefits. I'd love to see the range expand to include more mushroom types and possibly other superfood ingredients like Lions Mane, Shilajit, and Ashwagandha for an even more potent health kick. This bar is definitely worth trying for anyone interested in the health benefits of mushrooms or looking for a nutritious snack option.Verdict: 5⭐📊 My 'Rating Guide'⭐ Not worth the purchase⭐⭐ Average⭐⭐⭐ Worth considering but further research needed⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended buy⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product, better than I was expecting, highly rated.

nicely presented but taste is unimpressive
There are 12 bars in the box. At £26.95 per box.I was really keen to try these health bars. I like the idea behind a fruity chewy bar that gives you an energy boost without all the added sugars that most bars contain nowadays. The bar, when opened is quite soft and browny red in colour. Biting into it gives you quite a strong raspberry flavour, with maybe a hint of date. I couldn't taste the oats, and was trying hard to discover the mushroom flavours that are mentioned but couldn't. There is a slightly slimy sensation under the tongue. The big taste is of raspberries and the downside of raspberries is the tiny pips that are a part of the fruit. By the time I had finished the bar I had numerous pips stuck in my teeth, and the rest of the afternoon I was atempting to remove one that had wedged between two teeth and is unreachable. This was probably a chance happening but the end effect is to now decide if I am going to risk another bar and the resulting pip problem. Now... I love raspberries, we have lots growing in the garden and I never remember this happening with fresh fruit so I am aware my experience was probably bad luck. I will try another bar to find out when I have eventually rescued the pip causing my dental problems. As for energy. I have been working all afternoon and not felt the need to go and snack, as a sugar addict this would be my usual behaviour so I am happy to say this bar has given me slow release energy over a few hours.I do wonder at the cost of these bars. At £2.24 per bar they seem expensive. I buy other sugar free fruit bars that cost a lot less and doubt I will change my purchasing habits any time soon.
