I got this to make my own homemade Suddenly Salad mix instead of the packets, so I could add as much as I want. It works great...I made a Suddenly Salad with shrimp that is delicious! It's not too salty, at least not for my taste. You can purchase freeze dried peas and carrots and bacon bits, which is exactly what I did. Its the same as the boxed except much cheaper in the long term. And you can make as much of the salad as you like...for a crowd, if you want. I am glad I bought it.

While I like the creamy version of this salad dressing and will buy again, the dry mix is more versatile. The main drawback in the past was having to buy multiple small packets of the dry mix. But now, with this larger container, and the scoop that comes with it, I can mix up what I want and in the quantity I need for my recipes. This is handy for a single member household, a couple, or a larger family. Need a salad dressing for your salad? Done. Need a dip for you veggie sticks? Done. Need your "Mississippi pot roast" fancied up? Done! And it's all more cost efficient since you're basically buying in bulk, when compared to fistfuls of the more expensive little packets of a fractional ounce of dry mix each! Just have the necessary ingredients on hand to make your dressing or dip.

The ranch powder is awesome, it doesn’t come with a scoop as pictured. It was shipped by USPS so it took a winding path to get to my home. I’ll probably order again from someone, but don’t feel any loyalty to this seller.

I have used this product for many years and highly recommend it. It can be used for salad dressing, dips and in baking and is much less expensive than the individual units sold at grocery stores.
