I really didn't need this but I bought it for looks... and it looks great. Works as described and easy to install. Build quality is solid and my cpu isn't overheating.

So far so good. I assume it works well with aiding the thermals as my temps are perfectly fine but i overall did not buy this for aid in cooling and specifically bought it to make thermal paste application and clean up and simple and painless as possible and so far i am pleased. It also just looks nicer and give me better piece of mind with how much more secure the cpu is in the socket. It's also in my opinion a critical component for those who happen use the graphite sheets instead of paste that are electrically conductive as this frame make it's far easier and less likely that for the pad to touch anything it shouldn't.

Great fitment, clean machining. A verifiable drop in Core Temps, and keeps thermal paste from reaching the finer areas under the IHS, etc. Also, pairs perfectly with a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120, or other like Air Coolers. AIOs as well I'm sure, but didn't use one here. Buy with confidence. Worth the small price of admission.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wanted something other than the OEM bracket to hold cpu down, works great, allows a better contact between my AIO and the cpu. Easy to install, and good peace of mind.

The AM5 CPU's do not suffer from the bending issues that the Intel IHS does. So this won't effect the AM5 CPU's temperatures. On the other hand, it has one great benefit (and the reason I purchased it) and that is keeping your thermal compound off your surface mount bits on the CPU itself. It looks fantastic too, but after you get your heat sink on you'll never see it again.In case anyone is wondering it is not conductive due to being anodized. But the it's a bit misleading claiming this is anti-bending in that the AM5 CPU just don't bend in a way that causes problems. That being said though, it will provide more uniform tension to the entire CPU than the clamp the board comes with. It just looks and feels more secure, but to be fair I've not had IHS/clamp issues on the AM4 or AM5 cpu's. But this thing will make cleanup of your CPU so much easier and that alone is worth the investment.

This CPU holder replaces the stock clamp version on all AM5 motherboards. You need to place the CPU on the motherboard socket and next is to remove the 4 screws holding the old bracket. The included tool works perfectly and I found that it was easier than expected. Once removed, you can place the new CPU holder plate on the CPU. Use the 4 new included screws to secure the plate to the motherboard. I would do one corner to 80% and move to the opposite corner next. Finish the other two screws and now you can fully tighten. This plate is stronger than the stock clamp design because it's a single piece. Also, the thermal paste will be less messy, easier to apply, and easier to clean in the future.I'm really happy with this and think the price is a great value! I will use them on all future builds.

Easy to install. It didn't really affect performance for me, but It did make cleaning up easier when I change coolers. It is definitely not needed for AM5, but it is nice knowing that your pc looks cooler in ways people can not see.
