One of the most used items I had while in the military was this sleeping bag system and was one of the things I hated to have to give back when I left. The patrol bag is great for the warm season and compresses fairly nicely in the compression sack provided. The heavier bag has been reliable for colder nights and will keep you comfortably warm into the low 40s. I have spend the night in temperatures in the teens with both bags and the bivy cover on ground while wearing a base layer and I slept fine. In order to get well into the negative digits, wearing the ECWS (Extreme Cold Weather System) will be needed. You can do this with base layers and a fleece jacket. Search for the ECWS to see what you should shop for.Although I'm sure not all bags are exactly the same, both of my bags were in like-new condition. In fact, they were in better shape than the set I was issued in the military.

I give my review for the item.It works as it is intended. As mention in the description it is a used sleeping bag.I did not give a full mark, because the prices its expensive.But I can say it came in the five pieces 2 bag and the other 3 parts.

Great value, used but very lightly. Stuff sacks were new, best I could tell. 10/10 would buy again. The one I was issued years ago had half the buckles on the stuff sacks broken, nightmare. Its nice having things that work the way you need them to.

Smelled like musty basement and weed

Used for survival in rare 18” (wet) snow fall in Colorado Rockies. Combined MSS with silk weight and ECWCS Level 7 happy suit to remain toasty.Usually the snowfall here is dry but this was caused by cloud seeding due to multiple fires in Mid May of 2022. The bivouac or “Bivy” was the saving grace in the wet snow.

AMAZING!!! this is the *ONE* sleeping bag to buy! and the beauty to you, you are getting 3 for the price of one! this is one of the best sleeping bags I have seen, the Modular system is fantasic, this is worth way more then i paid, and I am excited to have it for years of camping to comenow be it known, you are buying surplus, so while i had a great product & experience, it is luck of the draw. My bag had minor nylon fraying on the compression bag, but otherwise was like newthis is your one stop sleeping bag, HIGHLY recommend it!
