Better than expected
I'm thrilled to have found this tape—I didn't even know something like this existed! There's a corner in our utility room that I've been trying to repair for over a year now, with about five inches of bare metal exposed amidst flaked-off plaster. It looks like something hit it pretty hard, though none of my three active teen boys or my husband have any clue what could have caused it. Sigh.I've tried regular spackle (which didn't hold for more than a couple of weeks), various wall repair patches folded over the corner (they looked awkward but lasted a bit longer than spackle), sheetrock tape with mud (meh... lasted a few months but the edges peeled up), and a few other DIY attempts, but nothing has worked so far.I was a bit hesitant to try this due to the price, but I decided to give it a shot—and I'm so glad I did! This tape is substantial, enough to repair multiple floor-to-ceiling corners. It's heavy-duty yet thin enough to blend seamlessly into the corner with mud. Specifically designed for corners, it has a divided seam through the metal that allows for a perfect corner finish.I'm very happy with the result and finally feel like i can move on to the next project. lol

A good alternative to the corner mesh
I am glad I came across this tape. I am currently finishing an area in my basement, putting sheetrock and about to apply the plaster.I had used in the past the metal mesh, however in some areas they are hard to use and difficult to install. I think, this tape works great on all those hard to reach places.I really did not know what to expect, this is the first time using this product. The roll is really heavy (after all it is a couple of metallic strips in a roll). It looks like a good product, easy to use and I hope, once in place it is durable.
