Bought for my 7yr old daughter who loves crystals and science of which she is interested to find out more about both. She loves this colourful and informative book that's a great size for her to carry around. The rocks and minerals all have a picture representing each, and alongside a brief description of what each rock/mineral is, there is also a breakdown of where it originated from, how it is formed, mineral content, as well as other pieces of information such as grain size; hardness; transparency etc. A book that can be used by an absolute beginner (great pictures) and also has the extra details for those who may already have a little knowledge of this subject.

This is a useful little book giving clear descriptions and photos of the rocks and minerals. Small enough to easily fit in a pocket.

It's a good book ...but for adults! Too difficult for kids without parental help.

Wonderful pocket book about rocks and minerals .A lot of information in a 150 pages.It is interesting for all ages.... not only for kids.... I am 45 !
