The best heater I’ve gotten!!
I’ve bought and returned 3 different heaters (not from this brand) before this one and I’m finally happy with the one I have. My room is in the basement so it’s a large cold space in this jersey weather. Since my room isn’t the size of a normal bedroom, it’s tough to keep it warm in here. Even with the other heaters I’ve tried, I’m still shivering when I’m here. I’ve been using this heater all day and I’m warm!! I’m not sure how big my room is in sq ft, but it’s like two normal bedrooms big or like a long living room. This heater can effectively warm up whichever half I have it pointed towards. That’s a pretty good amount of space considering the other heaters couldn’t achieve that. TLDR this heater works GOOD.It’s kinda tall, I’m 5’5 and it reaches to my upper thigh. It’s light though. I expected it to be heavy for how tall it is so it’s easy to move it around wherever. It’s SO quiet, obviously not silent but it’s the quietest heater I’ve gotten. It has heat level settings or you can set the temperature. It has this nice control panel that lights up (the way it looks in the pic) when you touch it which is kinda cool. It looks sleek with no buttons to push. Don’t feel like getting up to change it or turn it off? That’s okay, it came with a remote too. The cord isn’t super long but it’s long enough. Again, my room is big and doesn’t have too many outlets for it to reach to, so I feel like it would be a good length for a bedroom or living room. It’s got a timer too which is nice for when i’m gonna sleep.Only solid con I can really think of is the price. I got it for cheaper than $129 (or whatever it’s at) because I bought a used one for half the price. I was hesitant buying this at first because I saw the initial price. Maybe it’s because student loans take up a good chunk of my money, but I wouldn’t buy this for $129. I’d cap my heater budget at like $80.Overall, it’s a good purchase and you should get it.

Read before you return! UPDATED
This is a fine space heater (better than our old Lasko 755320, and way better than the newest Lasko 755320), but we almost returned it, as many apparently have, because there are some things that the user manual, which is otherwise good, just does not make clear. If you plug this in at night, or anytime the light is dim, you must press a button TWICE to do anything: once to activate the control panel/LED; a second time to do what you want. AND the control panel/LED will turn itself off again after 4 seconds, requiring another double press (presumably so it won't bother you during the night). If you plug this in during the day with adequate light, a single button press will turn the control panel/LED on, as per the manual, and it will stay on. Also FYI, when using ECO mode, we found the temperature reading to be accurate compared to our thermostat, but note that the oF icon will flash for temperatures below that level. If you set the temperature using ECO mode close to your room temperature, you may not feel much heat or air flow at first, but we did find that the heater in our bedroom kept the temperature at about that level throughout the night ... and the control panel/LED came back on with the sun in the morning! Overall, based on our first couple of days, a fine product once you get to know it.UPDATE Based on a few more days, and several email exchanges with Tracy at DREO, who has provided exceptional and very much appreciated customer service, I have increased my previous 4-star review to 5 stars, and purchased a second Solaris 718. This is a truly impressive product. Tracy confirmed with DREO's tech team that the 718 can indeed operate in a range of *300*-1500W when heating in ECO mode, and that when the room temp reaches the target temp, the unit will work at a minimum power of 300W to maintain the room temp. This is true ECO mode performance. Furthermore, whereas DREO will tell you that depending on your room type, the heater temp can deviate from room temp by as much as +/- 5 F, our own experience with the two units has been very much like their measured "laboratory" deviation of +/- 1.5 F at most. And when the two units are first plugged in, they both show the same temperature as our house thermostat (indicated by the first non-blinking oF temp icon above the blinking temps, i.e., if oF is blinking for 64 and below, but not blinking for 65 and above, our thermostat would show 65). All in all, a very fine product indeed, and compared to space heaters we have used in the past, well worth the higher price. While DREO will want to edit their User Manual and web site information a bit to fully highlight and explain all the great features of the Solaris 718, and ensure that their staff are fully informed about them, the Solaris 718 is already a winning choice among space heaters.

Great Heater!
This heater has done its job! It kept a bedroom and small living room warm! The heater has a built in timer which is great for when you’re getting ready to sleep. The quality is great and it looks sleek even when in a living room area. It’s added the comfort - just be prepared if you live in California with PG&E, it did run a high bill when we used it daily for a few hours!

Seems Worth the Cost
I've used this for only a portion of one day. So far, it's doing a pretty good job of heating the stubbornly chilly add-on, so called "sunroom". The room is built on a former patio slab and doesn't seem to be very well insulated. Plus, it has lots of windows which is great on sunny days. However, here in the Midwest, those sunny days can be few and far between. The few and far between days of overcast, wind and cold create a huge challenge, especially because the room is wide open to the rest of the house. Keeping it warm helps keep the rest of the place warm and creates less problems for the whole house heating system. Another room heater does a pretty good job but is pretty darned loud while doing it. This Dreo is much quieter and, as I initially mentioned, so far doing a good job, equal to the other, much pricier, room heater. Unlike the other Dreo I have, which is one of their oil filled radiator heaters, there is no initial smell at all. The oil filled radiator is currently in the garage, hopefully burning off whatever causes the odor. None of that is needed for this model since it's not the same type of heater. I would recommend this Dreo. Update: After several days of using this in various locations of the house, I've settled on putting into my bedroom during the day. It works great at keeping that room from seeping cold air into the main part of the house. I've gone back to using the pricier room heater in the sunroom. I also have a Dreo oil-filled radiator type of heater in the living/dining room. Even with the super cold weather in the past several days, the house has been much better.
