Affordable Electric Standing Desk with Smooth Operation
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I recently purchased the Veken 47.2" Electric Standing Desk in brown, and it has been a solid addition to my home office setup. The desk offers a spacious work surface and a sleek wood laminate finish that complements my decor. The electric height adjustment feature operates smoothly, allowing me to switch between sitting and standing positions effortlessly. The assembly process was straightforward, with all parts clearly labeled and the instructions easy to follow. One notable feature is the memory preset function, which allows me to save preferred height settings for quick adjustments. The desk's stability is commendable; it remains steady even at its maximum height. However, the weight capacity is limited to 154 pounds, so it's important to ensure that your equipment doesn't exceed this limit. Overall, the Veken standing desk provides excellent value for its price, combining functionality, ease of use, and a modern aesthetic suitable for various work environments.

Easy to assemble and works as I had hoped
5 Stars for this product. It was easy to assemble and for 1 person to do it. The assembly was straight forward and made sense intuitively. The table top is engineered wood but covered with a laminate to imitate a wood look. The legs are sturdy metal and look good. The electric mechanism that raises and lowers the table top works very well. It has 2 buttons to preset the height for automatic adjusting. I use button #1 to set the height I want to stand at, I set button #2 to automatically return the table to its lowest setting. The speed of raising and lowering the table top is very good. The feet of the legs screw into and can be adjusted to handle an uneven surface such as if some of the feet are on carpet while the other feet are on hardwood. I think the adjustable desk is well designed.

Smooth, Sturdy, and Stylish
The media could not be loaded. The Veken 47.2" Standing Desk exceeded my expectations in every way. The height adjustment is smooth and quiet, making it easy to switch from sitting to standing without interrupting my workflow. The wood desktop is not only durable but also adds a warm, professional look to my office. I appreciate the generous surface area, which easily accommodates my dual monitors, laptop, and other essentials. Assembly was straightforward with clear instructions, and the desk feels solid with no wobbling, even at the highest setting. Whether I’m working, writing, or simply browsing, this desk keeps me comfortable and productive throughout the day.

Functions well; concerning plastics
$89.99 is a price point difficult to find for an automatic standing desk of any variety, so I consider that a good value if it’s functional in raising & lowering with no effort and remains stable with a reasonable amount of working weight on the desk. Thus far, it’s worth it.Installation:I put it together myself following the included step-by-step instructions, but it’d help to have someone’s assistance when turning it over a couple times with the top, especially if you have shorter arms (I’m 5’11”). The smaller pieces (screws, dowels, etc.) come in clearly marked bags that follow the labels in the instruction manual, but the larger pieces have no markings at all to match those in the manual, so you’ll have to go by the drawings. The manual first states you’ll need a power drill or phillip screwdriver, obviously not included. I used a screwdriver, and the screws nearest the legs were especially tight and difficult to get in (see photo), but I did manage to get all the screws in flush in their entirety. The two-piece top is thin, pressed board — just thick enough so that the screws don’t poke through — and when together, one end is separated by about 1mm, as can be seen in other reviews. There’s more plastic in the parts than I would prefer, including the motor casing and the point at which the motor turns the shaft (see photo), but you’re still getting a bargain for what you paid if this continues to hold up for years to come. (Side note: I found it interesting that the small sticker on the motor notes it’s quality inspection pass on “02/12/02” [probably December 2, 2002], so I’m sure using a 23 year-old motor helps save on production costs.)Use:The motorized functionality works perfectly, smooth and quiet, and ranges according to the description’s specifications. All raise, lower, lock, & memory functions work as intended. The digital readout is in tenths of inches. Since raising and lowering via the arrows requires you to hold them down (even if briefly), it will raise and lower by a few tenths at minimum; so, if there’s a precise tenth you’re trying to obtain, you may need to raise & lower a little a few times to hit that mark, but then you’re good once you set it in one of the two memory buttons. While an image in the website listing states it can hold 220 lbs., there is nothing in the included installation instruction manual or user card (for the motorized settings) regarding weight. This is certainly a miss, and I’m not going to test its limits, especially given the materials. It currently easily holds a monitor, laptop, keyboard & mouse, and a variety of stands, paper notebooks, and mobile devices while functioning normally. The hooks that can be mounted underneath on both sides are the same plastic, and they are quite weak, despite their large size. I wouldn’t hang anything more than headphones or a light bag/purse (I currently use one to hang a power strip, but wouldn’t hang my EDC bag, and certainly not a full work/computer backpack). The feet are wide plastic circles that can be screwed in & out to level the desk according to your floor, but the teeth on them are soft enough that I can gently maneuver it (with nothing on it) around the house without scratching the flooring, but I’ll probably add some large felt pads to each foot if I plan to move it with anything on the desk.4.5-5.0 stars if this thing holds up for years, but still a bit skeptical given my experience with things made with this type of plastic from the early 2000’s.

Great for the price
This was easy to assemble and works well. A button moves the desk up and down. It is wide enough for 4 monitors.
