Tghis is not silent by any stretch of the imagination
I bought Xpelair as it is a name I trust. The fan is well made and the extraction is very good but it is the nosiest fan I have ever bought and I only have it on the low speed. The design is neat as you cannot see the blades at all. The back draught plate is hopeless as it keeps banging on a windy night. It might be better with some foam on the recess to stop the noise of the banging. I bought a separate back draft plate which is a bit flimsy but that doesn't matter when installed there is no noise or back draught!

The first one didn’t work. The second broke after a month
The media could not be loaded. The fan does not work. I can’t return it as paid for the item to be installed by a professional. This was the second item because the first didn’t work at all. A total con.

Simply Silent? Definitely not! Maybe a little bit quieter than my chainsaw!
I had high hopes for this fan based on reviews and reputation but this fan is definitely not 'Simply Silent'. I realise 'quiet' is subjective but this fan is louder than my vacuum cleaner, smoothie machine, blender. The electrician took a look at it but his only advice was 'Well yeah, I wouldn't have bought one of those. They are too noisy for me'.

Noisy & total rubbish
If you think this is silent. Think again, louder than my other fan which was not a silent fan.Xpelair should be prosecuted under the trades description act and give everyone there moneyback. Do not waste your money. Very unhappy about this rubbish

Simply not Silent
Do not waste your time buying this product it's "Simply Not Silent" a 747 makes less noise. Plastic clips that hold PCB are flimsy and the plastic clip that holds the cover in place simply broke. Thrown item away as I missed the return window.
