Nathan James 71103 Payton Foldable Storage Ottoman Footrest and Seat Cube, Beige

Purchased one 3 years ago & loved it so much that I bought another this week. It arrived today. The assembly is quick & easy. It looks great in my family room. I use one for throw blankets for lounging on the couch & the other one has games.I like the detailed trim on the top & how it can be flipped for drinks.

When we moved in December and I ordered 2 Nathan James storage ottomans from Amazon. Only one arrived.The one ottoman that did arrive was a quality product. Nice and sturdy, yet easy to assemble. It looked great with my couch, which is a similar gray and similar tailored aesthetic. The ottoman has plenty of easily accessible storage space. When the top is in the table position, it is stable enough that I am not worried about keeping my glass of water on it for the entirety of the evening. The table also has an easy-to-wipe-clean top in case there are accidents. As a seat, it easily accommodates a 250 pound person surprisingly comfortably and feels very secure and stable. I don't know anyone of a larger weight, so 250 is as high as we've tried.I contacted Amazon bout the missing ottoman and another was sent on its way immediately. Unfortunately the second arrived with a stud missing (see photo). It was just a small cosmetic problem, but I decided to contact the manufacturer about it rather than contacting Amazon again.I contacted the manufacturer (Nathan James) to see if they could send just a replacement stud for me to pound in place. Instead they sent a whole new ottoman. When I asked if I should send back the damaged one, they said no. Since the missing stud was not a deal breaker, I pounded in the sharp point and kept the damaged ottoman also. Now I have 3 and they look great with the couch. Nathan James' "customer happiness" representative, Melanie, followed up with me throughout the several day process to let me know when to expect my delivery, make sure I had received the replacement, and ensure I was happy with it.In January I got a surprise gift from Nathan James' founder, Brooklyn Burdon, who sent me chocolates... for any inconvenience the situation may have caused. So I now have an extra ottoman, a yummy bag of chocolate and a strong desire to purchase something else from Nathan James.Very nice customer service guys!!! They went above and beyond what I expected to make sure I had a good experience. Helps that the ottomans are very good quality too... comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and sturdy.

I only gave this four stars because I needed a paler shade of grey, and it only came in this darker shade. That said, it goes together very easily, seems very sturdy and is great to put my legs up on as it is exactly the same height as the seating area of my couch. I put my foot neuropathy treating pad in the interior so it's handy to use while I watch tv. Worth the money.

I fell in love with the studded design on this storage ottoman, but that is where it stops.Cons: Hard to put together, small on the inside, and pricey for the size.You can read my more in-depth issues below.PRO: The material is dark gray, as seen in the photos on the seller's page.There are setup directions.CONS In-DepthPutting this together is dumb, if I am being honest.You set up the stool, then add the insert to sturdy the structure, then add the metal plate and screw in the legs from the outside. Petite and small makes it hard to stick your arm inside to push against the plate to secure the screws on the outside against the plate.The lid of the structure is nice, with a wood-grain-like reversible lid for a small table when needed.The interior is pathetically smaller than a few other ottomans we have and has paid much less for, so that is what we think. It will serve its function, and we would not sit on this it does not seem sturdy for adults to sit on, maybe kids, but not adults.

I've put together a lot of cheap furniture from Amazon over the years, so I'm used to instructions written in poor English and products that end up not being as sturdy and reliable as they look in the photos. So I was pleasantly surprised when these ottomans arrived (I ordered 2). They were well packaged, and the glossy, well-written instructions booklet and quality of materials made it feel like a premium unboxing experience. It does (as the instructions state) take just 5 minutes to put together. A lot of these types of storage ottomans end up looking tacky, but these look fantastic and match my existing furniture. :) We'll see how the fabric holds up as time goes on, but these definitely feel like a steal at this price point.

Good material lovely color sturdy spacious elegant ottoman have a ton of stuff in it and planning on adding more stuff in it it can hold up to 300lbs so a heavy person can sit on it already had someone heavy sit on it i can confirm it's sturdy, I love that it has feets so the bottom doesn't touch the floor and get dirty very easy to attach the feet great price definitely worth it if you want quality i mostly use it to store my stuff and propp up my feet and the fact that you can flip over the top and use it as a small side table for drinks snacks or books is great what are you waiting for buy it

The media could not be loaded. This cube does it all! It’s a storage bin for our books, ottoman footrest, side table for drinks, bench to sit on, and the options go on! This is the best cube there is. It’s so versatile. I love the color and design. It’s light enough I can pick up easily and move around. Has storage space. And I love the tweed like material!
