All Around Perfect Rotary Tool to Groom My Dog's Nails
I used a great rotary tool that was private labeled for Craftsman and used it for years to do a few random things, but mostly for trimming my dogs' nails. It was small, but not as thin as this Dremel, and not terribly loud. Sadly, nothing lasts forever and it just wore out.Since I don't subject a rotary tool to heavy duty projects, I didn't want to spend a fortune, and bought a full sized tool from another respected name in power tools. It was OK but was disappointing in tat it had a plastic housing, which may or may not account for the vibration that didn't appeal to my dog. She tolerated it, but I'm sure the extra vibration (and noise!!) wasn't appreciated our nail sessions. So, I ordered this and while none of the reviews mentioned dog's nails, I gave it a try. My first impression when I opened the box was, "Wow, this is really small...", but didn't let first impressions define it.When I tell my dog that we're going to do 'beautiful feet' and grab the bag of Rawble that is reserved just for this as her special treat between grooming paws, she goes right over to her pillow and sticks her paws out for me.The first thing I noticed is that while it was really small, it was really quiet, which she appreciates as much as I do. On the highest speed it creates enough power to grind her nails quickly with the included sanding drums, and I maintain control of the tool easily. All in all, I highly recommend this tool for light duty work and it would probably preform nicely for more delicate craft projects, too.

Works well for my purpose
Using mainly to polish guitar frets. Works fine...with a caveat. Know that the thing isn't very powerful.Coming from using a full size Dremel, it's nice having something so small and light weight, but it does tend to bog down if you put any pressure on it. I see pics of people etching and engraving with it. Maybe it works in that application but can't comment one way other than the other. I did try it on some pine with a sanding drum and it wasn't happy. It's ok for polishing, but I do wish it had a bit more power.

fits the hand very nice!
Just what the Dr. ordered for small and hard to get to hobby modeling I have done a lot of planes and cars and tanks, this tool is exceptional in hobby hands. You can not go wrong with Dremel tools. I have a larger one in the shop but this is perfect for cutting sanding polishing and any other needs on your hobby table. Money well spent on this and it comes with some accessories. Nice!!

just what I needed, almost perfect
Just what I needed, used primarily for nail work, the slow speeds, are perfect. It'd light weight, the cord isn't heavy making it easy to use and maneuverI didn't want a rechargeable battery tool, everyone I know who has one complains, even the more expensive models are unreliable, the often don't recharge after a short timethe cord on this item is flexible and light weight, the tool is well balanced and easy to handle, even for a small handmy only complaint would be the awkward, deep set power buttonI imagine they wanted to make sure you didn't accidently turn it on and off but, the button is awkward and poorly positioned, you can't easily turn it on and off as you work with it, it takes a bit of shifting grip and very deliberate pressure on a area of the tool would hold to give the best grip.I've had cheaper tools with a better placed power button but, this has the smoothest sound when running and the most subtle speed control.most of my Dremel tools, have lasted a very long time

Beginners be warned ⚠️
Great tool, works as it should just as described, warning: NOT FOR BEGINNERS if you are just starting start with a burning kit, this is mich too difficult to do what you want with unless you know exactly what your doing. The pen buzzes and turns at random times making it hard for small details, if you know what your doing, it works great! If your a beginner, use a BURNING kit not a engraving pen
