This is the absolute best food processor! It has a Pulse Button, different speeds - High and Low. It slices vegetables. Above all it is quiet!! It also stores all of its own parts.

The media could not be loaded. After much research, I chose this unit to replace my over 10 year old Black & Decker 10 cup food processor. As long as I can make pie crust with 1-1/2 cup of flour and a stick of butter, this unit is big enough. My test was to grind dried Cuban bread into crumbs - which is what I was doing with the old unit started to smell like burning wires. This Kitchen Aide is SO quiet compared to the B&D and a previous Cuisinart. The big wide control buttons work well (the last unit was pulse or on, only those two). I like the "low" setting as you can gauge what level you need to continue with without potentially obliterating something before your eyes! The blade is quite sharp so I feel confident in its effectiveness (but will update this review if anything changes). I like that the bowl sits firmly on the base, and the tilt off lid is nice, and it does remove altogether for cleaning. One should hold onto the unit while running it, as it "danced" a little when I let go. The oil shoot in the "pusher" is an interesting feature and since this does run on low, I may try it. It is supposed to all store together, but I rarely use the shredder it just put the lid upside down and the rest in the bowl. So I got this for my wife to replace her 20 year old kitchenaid food processor. This new one has several advantages over the old one.1. The motor noise is much lower, It's pretty quiet compared to the old one and just seems quiet in general. We'll see if that holds up longer term but I was impressed by the sound level.2. The blade storage system is really nice. The old unit just didn't have a way to easily stack the blades and accessories inside the bowl. The jumble of parts made cut fingers a risk so we just didn't do it. The main blades stayed in but the rest of the parts were stored somewhere else.3. Power seems really good. My wife has done some bread dough and a few other things so far and she's commented several times on how well it worked.4. The bowl just lifts off. compared to the old one with it rotate and lift setup its just a little more convenient and easier to use.Only thing to get used to is the latching and safety systems. They're not bad but the lid has to be FIRMLY latched down to energize the unit. She had a couple of times where the lid was down and the rubber seal engaged but it wasn't down that last 2-3 millimeters to the latch was fully caught and the unit wasn't running. She asked me to look at it and for a minute I thought the breaker had tripped before I figured out the latch wasn't down 100%. Not a huge deal and once you figure it out you know to double check it but it's something to be aware of.In our case the problem was made worse because the power cord for the coffee machine on the other side of the kitchen island had gotten a little loose and the coffee maker wouldn't turn on. So initially it seemed like the power to the island was out all the way.

I have used this amazing small food processor for a few months, and overall, I am satisfied with it's operation and it works for most of its intended functions. This was a low-cost alternative to me and for it's price, it performs ok.On the plus side, this little processor does most of what it was designed to do extremely well. It's quick to set up, easy to break down and store. It is quick to process the foods it's assigned. This processor is aloso really quiet compared to our old blender, and even our newer smoothie mixer. I really think it is doing it's job well.On the negative side, however, it is not capable of doing a good job with a full-size bread recipe. You might be able to get away with fixing non-yeast breads and other types of batter-type breads in it, but when it comes to yeasted breads, the dough is just too stiff in it. It not only bounced all over the place and caused a ruckus, but even after holding it down (for 15 minutes) so I could proceed with my recipe, its bread paddle kept coming loose and sliding up the pole where it was of no use to mixing the bread itself. A second, but lesser downfall is if you have typical over-the-counter cupboards, the processor is too tall to store under them when it is fully assembled. I do not have lower storage available so I leave larger appliances on one part of my counter and this processor was too tall. I have to store it with the food intake slid behind it vs on top.I believe if you're looking for a mixer that can do bread, it would be best to stick with the wide-based stand mixers rather than this tall, but otherwise efficient, model of food processor. It is just too tall and too narrow to make yeast breadWould I buy it again... yes, because it does most of what it was designed to do. I very rarely make bread anyhow :)

Works fantastic. The only problem I’ve found is the plastic seems to easily scratch and causes it to be difficult to see through and causes the appearance to be reduced

This was a replacement for my older KitchenAid food processor. I like this new one better. There are more parts but still easy to use. I like that the lid flips up rather than having to take the whole top off to change the cutting discs, can do it with one hand if need be.So far the quality is good as well as the capacity. Glad I bought this model.
