Ugly Stick rods are always a great value.
bought (2) 7'6" ML 1 pc rods for trolling crankbaits. Arrived in 2 separate boxes for some reason, but in perfect condition. Very happy with purchase, I like these rods better then the 2 bps prodigy 8'6" M 1 pc rods I have. And they're less expensive.Ugly Stick rods are great rods, they are not as lightweight and sensitive as 100% graphite rods but they are tuff. For trolling or bait fishing they cant be beat. These are more sensitive then the older models though. While still maintaining a pretty flexible tip which I wanted to be able to see crankbaits working.

Good tough rod
The best all around wade fishing rod on medium light. I have the 7’6 these new gx2 rods are a major improvement over the old ones. It’s tough for it handle the sometime rough environment of wade and bank fishing. It you want a very sensitive rod they are better ones this is about average sentive from most manufacturers witch I like

Excellent Budget Friendly Rod
Ugly sticks provide a good value - good price and extremely durable, making them a great choice for travel, loaner rods, children, etc. To provide the good price and durability, you give up some feel - not the best feel for finesse fishing - it's not bad but there are other choices much better. This is a great rod to throw into the trunk and not have to worry about breaking it.

No packagaging to protect your purchase.
The Item is great.There was no packaging other then a plastic wrap sleeve on it. No protective box or anything. A...... shipping gets zero stars.

Great rod!
I fish this rod all the time off the jetty in Corona Del Mar. I’ve caught plenty of mackerel, calico bass, bonito and barracuda on it. Light weight for the length and lots of sensitivity. I had it paired with a Kastking baitcaster but the drag on the Kastking wasn’t stiff enough so I put my Penn Fathom 15 star drag on it. The reel is overpowered for the rod but it does great for what I fish for on the jetty. Would buy again!

New version of an already great & popular rod
Right off the bat(I mean rod) this thing speaks of innovation and style you would expect from just the name alone. What caught my eye, at first, was the shortened and grip enhancing handle. Add stainless steel guides and a spongey for-grip plus medium action/fast tapered tip. Well, what are you waiting for?
