I love how this lights up it looks great, I do seem to knock the controllers off their charger part quite a bit but they do stay there most the time. Looks great

This dock arrives sufficiently packaged and noticeably is lighter than I was expecting. Out of the box you have everything you need to set up and get charging.The controllers, to be made compatible with this dock, require the batteries to be swapped with the new supplied ones and then use the supplied compartment covers - as these have metal contacts embedded into the cover which is needed for the wireless charging.It’s at this point you realise any controller protective rubber covers are going to have to be removed for charging and replaced back on after charging. It’s a minor faff….but it is what it is.The headset is a simpler prospect - you just insert the magnetic usb c charging tip into your headsets usb c port and place the headset on the dock. The usb c cable just needs pointing close to the charging tip and it magnetically snaps into place.Something to call out: fitting the batteries into the controllers needs care as you do need to put a bit of pressure on to fit the new battery compartment covers. It’s again a minor faff but I can see a few running into problems. Recommend sitting down at a table doing it.Also worth noting it does have a lot of bling to it. There’s an RGB light surrounding the charging base and you also have a light under each dockable area which changes colour when something is sat on it and then a different colour again when fully charged. Might be distracting at bed time if in a bedroom!Other than that it’s a great dock, does what you need it to and it’s fairly fast at charging. Gives your equipment a nice place to sit and be shown off when not using.

Very poor the product is not fit for purpose

Pros:Really good value for money with everything included, rechargeable batteries, USB-C cables, and the magnetic bits.RGB lighting looks great and makes the whole setup feel more complete.Magnetic charging works well. No fiddling around, everything just connects easily.Build quality feels solid. Doesn’t feel cheap at all.Keeps the headset and controllers tidy, which helps keep the space less messy.Verdict:Got this for my nephew and he’s chuffed with it. It’s made things so much easier for him, no more swapping batteries or tangled cables. For the price, it’s a solid bit of kit that does the job and looks good doing it. Definitely worth it.

This was a gift for my grandson, but I would have kept it if I did not have the older model. If they included a second set of covers for the handsets, this would be compatible with my meta quest 2 as well. It's actually quite hard to get these for mine, now.Anyway, this was a lot lighter than I expected, and it feels a bit plasticky, but still does the intended job well. Changing the batteries is a bit of a palaver, but only needs to be done once, and is not that hard. You can't use protective covers with this, of course.The magnetic connector for the headset fits securely and connects well. You get a spare, too, which is nice, as they are small and easily lost.There are a lot of lights on it and it would be a bit much for me. Not sure if you can turn them off altogether, can no longer check.This is a Vine Voice review, but that has not changed my opinion and I only review items I would buy. charges headset pretty slow but cool

The media could not be loaded. I truly bow my head to whoever designed this charging dock station for Meta quest. It is a piece of engineering and making sure everything is compatible. Meta Quest 3s had some compromises comparing to quest 3 when comes to charging main VR unit for example missing contact pins on the bottom of the headset. Because of that they came with idea to use magnetic usb-c tip and cable on side so when you put headset down, simply attach cable to magnetic tip. It is really very clever way around it and when comes to controllers, it is even better. They supplied 2 rechargeable AA batteries with 2 contact pads on each battery and controller flaps which also contain contact pins. Everything makes controllers able to charge wirelessly with charging base, so clever. This way everything is being charger wirelessly and no need for spare batteries or keep plugging in charging cable to VR unit anymore. If I would need to find something I don’t like, its definitely lights which indicates charging status. Blue light means either doesn’t charge or battery full, orange/red means charging and you cannot turn this light off whatsoever. You can only control small RGB strip underneath base but for me it is way too bright and at night you can see it even from another room, gloom. Despite that this charging base is great for all in one charging base.
