Poolside Toasty Box of Tricks
Installed the TURBRO Manatee M20 heat pump beside our 6 k‑gallon above‑ground pool, and it’s been stretching swim season like stretchy jeans after Thanksgiving. Hookup was legit plug‑and‑play: clamp hoses, prime, hit the breaker, done. The titanium exchanger pulls warmth from the air so the water creeps from 68 °F to a comfy 84 °F by noon on mild spring days.Noise sits at an easy background hum—about like a window A/C—so patio convo stays chill. Control panel is straight‑shot simple; set the temp and LEDs tell you when it’s heating or coasting. A pool cover at night complements the 20 k BTU capacity, letting the pump sip power instead of chugging next morning.Rain rolled through and the IPX4 housing shrugged off the downpour while the blue fan kept spinning. I mounted it on a paver pad to keep splash‑back dirt away, and the compact 19‑inch footprint doesn’t hog deck space.Keeping the pool warm without firing up propane tanks means late‑night float sessions in October are suddenly on the menu, turning ‘too cold’ excuses into cannonball challenges.

Don't do it, buy locally if you want ANY support.
The media could not be loaded. Purchased thinking I found a decent one, the right size and a fair price. Install was easy other than getting the plumbing to line directly up with the current pool pump. Worked good for about 2 weeks, then we left on vacation for a month so I unplugged it and bypassed the unit for the pool filter to run direct and avoid any issues. When I got back two weeks ago I plugged it in and and it seemed like it would work, but then failed with an overheat code. After several hours of trying to reset, it finally started working, sort of. The front panel buttons won't let me unlock, the heater LED is always on (even though temp is set to 80 degrees and the current temperature setting shows 86 degrees) and the front fan isn't running. I believe the control panel is faulty and have sent multiple photos and videos to Turbro Support only to get fed a line of stuff from the manual (which I already read several times), they keep requesting videos (like a video of me pressing a button that does nothing) and no actual support. Now I have to figure out deal with the issue through just replacing it locally or having the State go after Turbro for non-performance of a warranty contract. My advice is to not purchase a Turbro product.

Hot Water Fast!
The heat pump on my above ground pool recently went out, so I decided to try this one since it’s rated for a higher capacity than the one I currently have.Set up was extremely easy as long as you follow the instructions you will be able to complete it by yourself in about an hour. The unit works exactly like it should, and I was surprised how quickly it heated up the water, much faster than my old heat pump. This unit is also a much better price than the ones they are selling in my pool store and I like the fact that it provides customer support contact in case you have any issues.Five out of five stars you won’t believe how well this works.

Junk Not Good at all
Unfortunately, I had high hopes for this, but it never worked. After five days, it did not even increase by one degree Fahrenheit.

Don't buy this!
It's a waste of money. The heat pump breaks down constantly
