lock actuator motor
Yes, this part seems to work well. It has been installed about a month or more now and is functioning properly. Note, it can only be installed after cutting apart the plastic housing with a razor blade or box cutter knife blade. After installing the motor, the plastic housing has to be glued back together with a plastic glue.

Worked great and then started acting up in less than a week
I bought two of these for my 2004 is300 front doors I did the driver side first and then the passenger side right after installation they worked great however not even a week passed and the stepper motor installed on the driver side clicks a bunch of times whenever it is unlocked. Only upon unlocking, locking is fine and it’s not about the strength of the motor. The strength is there it’s strong however whenever the car is unlocked the driver door clicks a bunch of times like it unlocks 3-4 times right away when you press unlock once only on the driver side, the side that had received this brand new oem stepper motor replacement. I would like another stepper motor to swap in as a replacement free of charge and then I’d rate it better just a bit disappointing this a big job and costly for a defective stepper motor

This has a round shaft. There is another motor with the same part number that has a flat shaft.
I bought this for my 2004 Corolla. This was the second motor I replaced. Last time I ordered a different motor that had a shaft that is flat on 1 side. This is what the corolla needs. I ordered this one recently because it looked the same but was a little cheaper. It has a round shaft. I was able to adapt it by using my bench grinder to flatten one side. It only took 5 min. Overall this seems to work as well as the other model.

Works to replace failing RX300 acuator motors.
OK....for those of you wondering if these will work with a RX300, the answer is yes.I bought 4 and have replaced 2 of my actuators so far. They spin in the correct direction...which is huge if you want you actuators to be in sync. The motor itself dropped right in without a problem. Biggest issue is splitting the plastic case in which the motor resides in order to replace it. But, with patience, can be done. First one took about a hour. Second one, about a half hour. There you go...hope this review helps someone.

Perfect fit!
Using the procedure I found on line to install this, the job was invovled but simple and the motor fixed and worked perfectly. It saved me alot of money. Thank you for that.

Worked great. I saved $600 by doing it myself and avoiding the dealer. You Tube is a wonderful thing! I can't comment on the durability since I've only had it about a month but for $15 I'll take my chances. Most places want to replace the whole mechanism; what a waste!
