Customer support level is minimal with lack o knowledge. Nobody to talk to and emails take 3-5 days
The media could not be loaded. The concept is great. The idea is awesome and the interface is also great, but this product simply won’t work.I have a 12v sailboat system and after installing this unit with a professional master electrician, I thought that my system would see a major improvement. I used the best wires, fuses and smart batteries to help me monitor the system. After installation of the unit and downloading the app - nothing worked! Contacted customer support through email on 5 separate occasions to brainstorm the issue -to no avail. The main issue is that alternator charge is being sent to solar panels, and not at all to 12v LiSoFi batteries. After getting 2 separate firmware updates and crawling around with voltage tester - it’s clear as day that the unit is not functioning properly. No matter how much we played and read into all the manuals - it’s not working.

No customer service, won't pair with app, unusable
I want to love this, but it requires a third party app and won't pair with the app, making it unusable. Trouble shooting directions are minimal.Customer service has been non-existent. No reply to am email sent yesterday, and the chat feature on E Takers website seems to have died an untimely death, as attempts to start a chat are met with silence.I've ordered a new one and will update if that works. Very apprehensive, given no customer service, but the product specs best met my needs, so one more try.Update: customer service replied two days later with a video that showed exactly what the manual showed. Not helpful.Replacement is delayed on shipping. No word on when new unit is coming.

Will not charge 12v battery bank
To prevent people from mistakingly buying this product before the description has changed, this is my review.First of all the description is in accurate. According to the company this does not support a 12V charge battery, in that it will not charge a 12V lifepo4 from the output of the charger. I’m told it would only support 12V when paired In series( 24v)I will add that the solar works. With a simple test using 100w panel I was getting ~72w charge via the app, which was accurate when compared to another controller I was able to use.The company has been very responsive, thus far, and now refunded.I’m also told that there is potential for 12v bank support in the near future. If that’s the case I’ll be looking forward to it.

Extremely versatile alternator and solar charger, with interesting bonus features
I've had the Etaker F2000 about one week, and it has shown itself to be an extremely versatile charger, perhaps the most versatile one on the market.I use my truck primarily for camping, and I've got a combination of 12V and 24V devices, including a 12V starter battery and a 24V auxiliary battery. I've also got a power station (EcoFlow Delta 3+) that I use at home for backup/emergency use, and while camping for AC devices (like an induction burner). I've also got 350W of solar.Ideally, I was looking for a device that could do perform all the following functions; I wasn't sure such a device exists:1. Support charging the 24V battery from my truck's 12V system.2. Reverse charge the 12V starter battery in case I accidentally let it run down; this would prevent me from being stranded on a remote camping trip.3. Charge either battery (truck or 24V auxiliary battery) from solar; not essential, as I already have a separate solar MPPT charge controller, but this could reduce the equipment I bring.4. Fast charge my power station.Until I discovered the F2000, the closest I found was a DC-DC/MPPT charger from Renogy; it works with both 12V and 24V batteries. It's not ideal for fast charging a power station, as it's limited to 24V and not really designed for that purpose. And it's reverse charging capabilities seem limited.I'm pleased that the ETaker F2000 can perform all the functions I needed. But wait, there's more!It turns out that all four ports (car input, solar input, DC output, and a proprietary port for ETaker power stations) ; I cannot test this last one) are bidirectional, meaning they can be used as both inputs and outputs, and each port can be set to different voltages. So my 12V truck can charge my 24V battery, and I could even use the "solar input" as a 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V output (make sure you don't have solar panels when using that port as an output). That means I could use my 24V battery to power a 48V air conditioner like the Zero Breeze Mark 3 (I don't actually have a Zero Breeze, so I haven't tested that exact scenario).Or, I could disconnect the F2000 from my truck battery, and still power my mix of 24V and 12V devices I use while camping. There are too many combinations to list, but in short, you can convert to and from any mix of 12-48V across 3 ports (the ETaker port, I believe, is fixed voltage). The app (Smart Life) is pretty good, but not perfect. My main complaint, which isn't a huge one, is that it updates the display infrequently, maybe once a minute. So you won't get a real time solar input wattage, for example, and when you activate a port, or connect something to it, it'll take the app a while to reflect the current, voltage, and power. That hopefully will be addressed in an app update. My second complaint, which I also hope is temporary, is that while the device has an "Alternator Status Detection" connection (to detect when your vehicle is running, instead of relying only on voltage; useful for vehicles, like mine, with a smart alternator), a wire for this connection is not provided, nor is it documented in the manual. The app does have an "Alternator status check" setting, so it's hopefully just a matter of time before ETaker offers a wire/connector for this port.Overall, I recommend this product. I can't speak about it's long term reliability yet, but it suits my needs, and is versatile enough that it should work for just about anyone comfortable with automotive wiring.
