No need for Great Stuff when you’ve got Cold Tape.
This is a great product. Yes- the adhesive is hardcore stuff, so make sure you open the shrinkwrap in a well-ventilated room. Yes- the adhesive will lift paint off of wood and leaves residue behind. But once contact is made, this tape will not release and I believe in the claim that it will adhere in temperatures as low as minus ten degrees farenheit. This is is a must have for sealing up window air conditioners to keep bugs, smog and hot air from coming in the gaps. Great Stuff is all that- but this is Cold Tape.

More adhesive, and it would be 5 stars
Not real sticky, but other than that it’s great tape. It’s very thick, strong, and hard to tear. If the water doesn’t get to the glue part it would be very waterproof. It just needs more adhesive to be five stars. It kind of has enough adhesive that you would find on the average masking tape that is not designed for mail packaging. Hope this review helps.

Not worth the $$$
Strong tape but the glue is useless! They need to improve the glue they used! Save your $$$. It sticks for a few minutes then it comes loose flying all over! The one I purchased at the discount store had a better hold than this one and I paid $1.25 for it!

Works great taped on inside of jalousie windows
We are renting an old house in FL, and we have a Florida room that's jalousie windows on two sides. As a result, that room gets pretty hot from the outside air seeping in between the cracks. This tape seemed like an inexpensive way to solve that issue. It wound up working pretty good. Obviously, it took a while and two rolls to complete the job. But that was expected and we're happy with the results (our electric bill is happy too!). The only downside is that the tape does block the view somewhat. But it's a trade-off for not having a $500 electric bill. I taped up our windows in June. It's nearly October, and none of the tape has peeled off or showing any signs that it might. I SHOULD note that I taped up the inside of our windows and not the outside. So I'm sure this helps with the longevity. But we've been through a couple tropical storms this year, nearly dodging a couple hurricanes by the grace of God. I honestly thought some strips might eventually weaken if some rain seeped in with the strong winds.... Nope, still holding strong four months later. I'll likely peel this off when the much-anticipated cold air returns. But I'll definitely be buying a couple rolls again next year. And I recommend it to anyone with a similar use-case. I hope this helps someone out there. PEACE!

It’s just regular clear tape
I purchased this because my windows leak air. I was looking for a temporary fix and I thought since it says for windows and window leaks that it was thicker than regular packing tape. It also says that it’s super sticky. Also false. Same sticky as packing tape.

Bonus uses! Would give ten stars! Frost King, don't ever change!!
I love this stuff! We use this around the interior frame of our wall A/C unit. The building is old and the unit access was built too high. Since we don't want to risk ladders to cover the unit outside for the winter, we use this and seal up the area around the shaft indoors.Bonus!!!!! We found by accident that this building's old construction is a perfect inlet for insects after using this tape. Yes, it's gross, but we were shocked to find the AC a source for an infestation we originally couldn't find the cause of. With the tape up all-year, I have peace of mind now. We went to killing creepy crawlies multiple times daily to only ONE this year. One or two are normal in a year, five to seven a day is insanity. And no, a costly extermination treatment didn't help. This did. It gets unsightly after a few months, but we keep four or five rolls on hand at all times. We peel off the old tape n dead creepers n their babies and put up fresh tape.We have since caulked the area, but we keep tape up just in case. Adults can't get in, but the larvae are so tiny, they wiggle on through. So, the tape stays up. It comes down if company comes over and goes back up with ease right after.Keeping our utility bills down and handling another headache! Would rate ten stars! We also use it for a seal on our vacuum cleaner bag connector since the vac company altered their allergen bag construction and is not as efficient with dust control. The connector is too loose now! The tape's uses are endless because it's paint safe yet reliability adhesive! Think outside the box with this stuff. It's way more useful than Frost King advertises.

Use heat to apply!
This tape works wonderfully! I took off one star for ease of use because you do need to use a blow dryer or heat gun to really get it to adhere well for exterior applications.I use this for the “windows” I install on my screen porch for the winter. If you don’t heat it and smooth it down with a felted wedge (like you would for vinyl contact paper) it will peel off from the force of the wind. You may not have to use heat to apply it if you’re using it to seal an interior glass window, though. This will be the second season of use, but it’s a reasonable price to pay to turn my screen porch into a 4 season room. :-)Even with heated application, it did peel off easily and cleanly at the end of the season. No pulling off paint or any damage or residue at all.10/10 would recommend!
