No, they are tan in color. My bird has been eating them for nearly 20 years. I got him 21 years ago this week. He’s never seen a vet.

If there is one for parakeets, I would go with that one. They are smaller birds. The container specifically states cockatiel. I have a cockatiel and a bebe parrot. They don't share food. I hope that helps. You can always ask your vet or the seller.

I'm not a veterinarian but I feed these pellets to my Quaker parrot and he's thriving!! He's not much bigger than a parakeet.

Yes, I have been feeding this to my 4 lovebirds for over 5 years. But initially it was hard to wean them off of their previous food. You will have to introduce them to this very slowly.
