My daughter's room is a bit too well-insulated and my house is open floor so it didn't make sense to have AC. However, with climate change getting worse we are having some summer evenings that make her room way too hot. Fans just spread the hot air, and the last thing I wanted was a bulky exhaust pipe sticking out of her window, much like being quarantined in a positive pressure clean tent!Dreo tower to the rescue! This evaporative cooler works SUPER well, allowing me to increase or decrease the humidity AND/OR temperature from an app on my phone. Her room was getting 7-10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. We put the tower fan on Auto (stayed between low and medium speeds) and without the icepacks, the temperature was down 5 degrees within the hour.Now with EVERY other temperature control device we've tried, a humidifier was always needed. For the first time EVER, the humidifier has been dried and put away!They've earned a very loyal customer :)

It is just as advertised. I it is not an air conditioner but it has a large capacity water and ice compartment that really makes it cooler in the room. I can feel it from 29 feet away. It looks nice as well. The last one I had was a small water unit and I had to continually refill, this one maybe every 6 hours and longer with just water. It is 92 out side and it’s comfortable in the house with shades closed and fan on.

It doesn't cool the air. I added different temperature water, and extra ice packs and it still doesn't work. Mad I got rid of the box or I would return it for a refund. I will never buy something from this company again. I wish I could give it zero stars for wasting my money.

So far so good. We live in an older 3 story home. Our bedroom is on the top floor and becomes very hot during the summer months. We do not want to invest the thousands of dollars it would cost to have the HVAC & ducts rebuilt; in order to "push" more cold air upstairs. We have been searching for fans and/or portable A/C units which could help cool our room. We have 2 mini splits in side rooms which are attached to our house; but again; didn't want to invest in that either for our bedroom. As even with a mini split there is electrical work & attachments which have to be installed and wired on the outside of the home. We decided to try this fan because it had good reviews and is MUCH cheaper than a Dyson. So far; this has been very helpful in cooling our room. We have it positioned by our bedroom door; and use the oscillating setting. It has a lot of power. The air blows out surprisingly powerful; which is great. We have not had to use any settings higher than 2 due to the power of the air being pushed out. Another words, setting 2 is plenty to cool our bedroom. Our room is average size. Not super huge but also not super small. For reference we have a king bed, 2 full size dressers, 2 night stands and a TV stand. Also, the air blows out "cool"; so it feels more "refreshing" than your typical floor fan. The only reason for 4 stars is my husband thinks it is a big tricky to remove the water container to fill up and pop back into place in the back on the unit. It is supposed to snap in easily, but ours does not. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, no complaints. It has numerous settings as well which is great. The higher the setting, the more noise you have, obviously, but it does not bother us. As we are "white noise" sleepers to begin with. Overall, great buy, hopefully it continues to help with cooling throughout the summer months.

This cooler works absolutely fantastic. I upgraded from regular ice packs to using longer ice blocks and ice water, and the difference is night and day. It blows a steady stream of cold air that keeps my hot office comfortable all day long—even during the summer heat.Noise-wise, it's excellent. I keep it on level 2, and even with it running about 15 feet away, I can barely hear it. I’m in meetings all day, and it’s never once been a distraction.Bonus points for the wheels on the base—they make it super easy to move around whenever I need to reposition it. The airflow is strong, setup is simple, and it’s been very low-maintenance.I use the Dreo app, which works great and gives me easy control from across the room. I can't comment on the remote control, as I haven’t used it.Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a portable, ice-powered cooling solution that just works.

This is my second Dreo Air Cooler….this one is an amazing value for the money…it keeps my room cool with or without the ice packs….its very hot and humid this time of year so even with the a/c on it’s still warm. This does the trick! I also love how quiet it is and it’s not too large or cumbersome for a bedroom. It does require daily replenishment of water, if you choose to use that feature. It’s very easy to open and fill as well as to clean. I highly recommend this wonderful room cooling fan!!!

The unit doesn't work in terms of generating cooled air. And because it does not perform like a true evaporative cooler it is an overpriced glorified tower fan. I know it is not an air conditioning unit but the temperature of the air as measured with an IR thermometer is no better than a cheaper tower fan. Thie IceWind fan produced air at a temperature of 84 degrees. That is RIDICULOUS. Don't waste your money on this Dreo product. It is a TOTAL DUD. They get 2 stars for customer service but the technology embodied by this cooling fan is a FAILURE of execution.

Wow, works great, compared the the usual $30 fans. This fan feels cool and powerful without the water and ice pack. Can't wait to feel the coolness with the ice. I just received it today and couldn't wait to get it to work as the hot Summer is here.
