Although the battery capacity could be better, I understand that safety takes priority over capacity, so it's acceptable. I’m currently using it through the cigarette lighter socket, and it takes about 50 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. With a full charge, it powers my BlackVue 2-channel dashcam for over 20 hours without any issues. I installed it to reduce energy consumption on my Tesla, and I’m very satisfied. However, it may not be suitable for those who leave their car unused for long periods.

Draining car battery

I’ve been using this to power my dash cam while in Parking Mode, and it will last the about a day without having to be recharged. This has been good for me because I don’t have to fear draining the car battery, something that was a huge problem with previous hardwired installations. The dash cam will remain active if the car is left in park, and I’ve checked footage taken overnight with no interruptions. Works great!
