Q: Will this work in dence shade?

In the beginning yes. But after 5 months it began to dry up. Could be the ratio of the Kentucky bluegrass at only approximately 40% and 60% of the other seed mix. Weed mix and perennial seed. Going to try TifTuf American Sod or West Coast turf.

Yes. This a great choice for turf in the Mid-West region.

Q: Hi, would this work in new jersey? i have extremely sandy soil and my yard is in full sun by the bay. scorching at times.

Tall Fescue is a great grass for full sun and sandy soil. It grows long roots so it can survive the hot summer months. The key is planting the seed in time so it can grow long roots, so fall is best and then spring is the 2nd best time. I tried planting a bare spot in summer and it struggled but with watering a few days a week in the mornings it survived and now looks great. I used this tall fescue with some kentucky bluegrass mixed in at the back where it's in full sun all day, there is no shade back there. The kentucky bluegrass does a good job to spread and fill in bare spots since the fescue doesnt really spread at all.
