Hugger Mugger 5 stars; my vertigo 1
I love Hugger Mugger. The yoga and meditation products of theirs that I have are marvelous, and have held up beautifully over the years. So when it came time to get a bolster for restoration yoga and to assist in some poses that my body no longer allows me easy access to, I went to Hugger Mugger. The bolster arrived-- a beautiful color, well made, non scratchy fabric, washable case, firm body, and I thought it would be perfect. But it wasn't. The problem I have with it is not the manufacturer's fault. It is entirely mine. I am very susceptible to vestibular vertigo, and when I laid back on it, the slightly rounded edges caused the bolster to rock and my world to spin. I was able to get off the bolster, recover fairly quickly, and not have a prolonged episode, but the experience made me realize I ned a solidly flat bolster that does not trigger my whacky inner ear. I am not sure I can find that, and have gone back to my rigged up substitute pillows and foam cushion. Please forgive me, Hugger Mugger, for rejecting you, but thank you for letting me return the bolster. Customer service was great. Because of the stellar quality of the product and the easy return, I'm rating the product 5, and rating myself 1. In another life, this would have worked for me.

Great Buy
Good size to lay my back on. It holds its firmness while being comfortable with the right amount of density and sturdiness. Not very heavy and easy to carry with the handle. It was pricier, but I've been trying to find higher quality items that last and this fit the bill.

Tall curvy girl approved
This might be my favorite buy of 2024. That sounds cheesy however this has been life changing for stretching my back. I have recommended it to many friends. I love to lay in child's pose with this under my core. It feels so amazing and I simply cannot get any stretch like this without the bolster pillow. It is sturdy and really great quality. I can tell I'll have this for a very long time. Grateful.

Great bolster!
I was really reluctant to buy this one because it was more expensive than alternatives, but it is absolutely worth it! I like a very firm bolster, and this does the job better than others. It is relatively big and heavy, so I wouldn't like to travel with it, but that's not relevant for my use.

Perfect at class, perfect for home practice
All throughout my Intro to Yoga class, we used the purple version of this bolster for sitting on, snuggling for child's pose, resting legs on for savasana, and many others. I have benefited so greatly from yoga that I have purchased the same props for my home practice, including this one. I have no idea why the blue one is $13.80 cheaper than the purple one. It works just as good--half the time I've got my eyes closed anyway! The photo shows this bolster as a bright blue, but mine is much darker, dark navy to blue-black, and I like it even better than the bright blue. It's nice and firm, not like a lesser version of the original, has the great end handle to move it easily around you, that nice hidden zipper, and very sturdy. I am very pleased with it. Mine came with the pillow tag saying what it was made of and washing instruction tag: Cotton Felt 80%, Polyurethane Foam 20%, it's made in the USA! and spot clean with a damp cloth, or remove cover, machine wash gentle, no bleach, tumble dry low. Or see the attached photos for the whole tags and color I received. Hope this helps!

Very Nice Product!
I purchased this bolster for an unusual purpose. Our church is part of a Lutheran synod in which some congregations use kneelers during the service, but other congregations do not. Ours does not, and by far most people prefer to stand for prayer which is what we have done all along. But some of us would like to kneel for prayer, and I purchased this product to see if it would work as a kneeling pad.I have now taken it to church and knelt on it in the pew, and it really would work very well for that purpose. I showed it to our Pastor, and he is not completely sold because he would like to see built-in kneelers put into the pews. But that would be so expensive, and most people in the congregation don't want to to it, anyway. I just don't think we will ever do it in the forseeable future. If each of us who wish to kneel during prayer would purchase one of these, nothing would have to be done to alter the pews, no church money would be spent on something most people do not want, and the few of us who would like to kneel could do so.Don't know if I can sell this idea successfully at church, or not, but I would like to mention the characteristics of this product that make it so potentially good for this purpose: it provides really firm, but very comfortable, support to the knees; your knees don't sink right down through the stuffing material and hit the floor; it does not slip or slide away from you on the carpet but stays in place right where you kneel on it; it could stay under the pew in front of the pew you sit in between church services, and it could be removed and stored during services when it might not be desired; the zipper is covered so it won't cause any problems at all; it is thick enough to boost you up a bit in relation to the back of the pew in front, which is good; the cover is washable; the blue color is dignified and not as bright as in the picture; it is also rectangular, which is desirable, rather than square. The rest of the cushions I have looked at are square which wouldn't really work.I am going to show this bolster to a few other people who would like to be able to use a kneeler in our church and see what they say. A lot of churches do use some sort of pad for kneeling instead of built-in kneelers, and I have used some that left a lot to be desired (they slide away from you, for one thing). This is much better. Not a perfect solution, but potentially a quite good one, I believe. If I think of it, I will update this review and tell how my little "Don Quixotian" project works out. I honestly don't know if others will like this. My Pastor was sort of on the fence, but the idea may grow on him when he gives it some more thought. I honestly feel that the bolster works very, very well for this purpose since I have tried it out at church. I am surprised by how well it works.

Good quality bolster
Pros:Beautiful purple color, firm but eases up a little with use. Not lumpy and is stuffing is evenly distributed. Good for back poses where you need a flatter surface.Cons:Can wash the outside cover (although I haven't needed to, so this is ok). It's not as round as some bolsters I've used at studios, but I like it enough.I recommended looking at bolsters that yoga studios or gyms have to see if you prefer a rounder one before you spend your money. If that's not an issue then give this one a try.
