Also it would depend on what medium you are growing your orchids in. Are you doing organic or inorganic materials? I grow orchids in semi-hydro with leca and I do not worry about ph. If you contact the vendor they should be able to answer the ph value of their product. Most orchids prefer more acid conditions from what I have researched. You would need to research what orchid you are growing to get an idea of what they need. If you grow in bark or sphagnum moss both of them are already have a more acid content.
