Fallen is the debut studio album by American rock band Evanescence. After releasing several EPs and a demo CD, the group signed to Wind-up in January 2001. Writing songs for Fallen started near the time of the band's formation; several of the songs that would feature on the album appeared on the band's earlier releases. recorded between August and December 2002 in several locations, including Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, California. This was followed by a two-week period of mixing at Conway Recording Studios in North Hollywood. Fallen was released on March 4, 2003, on Wind-up and Epic Records. seven million copies in the United States and over 17 million copies worldwide.

美しいゴス
ヴォーカルのエイミーの声が独特で、歌唱力も高いです。バックの音は打ちこみやバンド、ピアノやヴァイオリンなど凝っています。悲しさもあるのですが、豊かさも感じる作品です。

名盤といっていいかと思います。ダウンロードやストリーミングで聞いてましたが非圧縮音源が欲しくなり購入。ハイレゾ音源があればよいのですが・・・

1stにして名盤
彼らの1stアルバムだが、既に完成された名盤だ。捨て曲は全くない。"Bring To Me To Life"が強烈だが、その他にも"My Immortal""Taking Over Me""Whisper"と畳み掛けてくる。2nd以降は「エイミーのアルバム」になるので、ある意味このアルバムが一番バンドらしい作品と言えるかもしれない。メロディックメタル、ゴシックメタル、ニューメタルなどが好きなファンは必聴の１枚だ。
