Super Antenna UM3SP SuperMount with SuperSpike Antenna Mount for MP1 ham Radio Antenna

I used mine recently at a friend's cabin. The only 3 issues were: (1)Trying to hammer the spike into the ground perfectly straight down but that's on me. (2) The rod would work itself a little lose as the 17-ft vertical whip swayed in the wind. (3) I wish the spike threads would stay tight to the mount. It slips easily. Otherwise a very nice quick way to get your whip supported and up in the air. I sometimes prefer using my DIY tripod mount.

I bought this because I needed something I could stick in the ground on a POTA activation and that was easy to attach radials to. This fit the bill. I was able to get my Wolf River Coil attached quickly, attach the radials, and be up and transmitting on 20 meters within 10 minutes of showing up at the Henderson Beach State Park. All in all, a really great product. Get the radials you can order with this, and also get a right angle adapter to make hooking up the coax easier. That allows you to stick the mount down further in the soil (or sand).

Feels well made. Set it up today and got on HF for the first time with my 20 meter hamstick. Great piece of kit!

Useless, looks beautiful but out of Spec's. The bottom where the Coax screws into won't accept the center pin of the PL259. I forced one in with great effort, then when i tried to remove it the center pin of the PL259 came out stuck into the bottom of the mount. The problem is there's only two relief slits in the female hole which deesn't allow the PL259 to flex and the pin to enter. Try a MFJ or a fire stick brand.

Works as advertised wish it was made of stainless steel instead of aluminum!

It’s sharp

I assumed this item would give at least six inches below ground and eight above. The spike appears to be only 8” total. There are options $30 cheaper, buying separate parts.
