The best thing about this nifty masher is it works very much like a ricer and gives me lump free, fluffy mash every time. The curved edges are another bonus. I'll never go back to the old style mashers now I've used this!I've been using this since March and it's still like new, so has held up well on durability. The fact it folds flat means I can just put it into my cluttered drawer.Cleaning is easy, I rinse under hot water to get all the bits out then into the dishwasher.

Good alternative to a metal masher. Easy to store and doesn’t scratch the pot.it takes time to get use to. One concern that somehow the food gets stuck inside the holes and it takes some effort to remove it- i haven'tnoticed this swith the metal one

UPDATE- I liked this masher in my original review but now I'm so in love I don't know how I managed without it! LOL, not sponsored (I wish it was), just a home cook with a huge appreciation of a product that makes my time in the kitchen easier!I have mashed bananas, strawberries and Yukon Gold potatoes with great success. The size, shape and material of the head is really nice for my needs. It doesn't scratch my pans or bowls like my old metal one did. So far, it cleans up beautifully. I have not had any issues with food getting stuck in the sliding piece like others have mentioned. I do rinse it off right away however. Seems fine in the dishwasher too.

This masher is really nice - Works great & I love the folding component of it as normal mashers are pretty bulky. The ONLY downside of it is all of the food that gets stuck in all of the holes. It's a real pain to have to use a straw or whatever to push your potatoes out of each of the holes. Will search for a silicone masher in the standard "wavy" design.

I have been wanting a masher but had been doing without for years. Because I have a tiny kitchen and they are just too bulky to fit into the utensil drawer, so I had been using other means to mash my potatoes… but never 100% happy and each time lamenting how I wished I had a real one… Well, my wish for one has come true. Not only does it work perfectly I can fold it so it seamlessly fits in the utensil drawer. My life is now complete. 😂

Absolutely love that I finally have a potato masher that can fit in the drawer! It's actually very sturdy, you simply have to use it as it was designed and slide down the little connector piece. Anyone who says it collapses while using it clearly doesn't understand that you have to make the joint area sturdy. Once the little piece is slid into place, it stays put. Slide it back up when you're finished and out collapses again.It's a little bit harder to clean due to the tiny holes, but if you rise it off right after use it cleans up much easier.

I love that this folds flat to be stored in a drawer. I agree with others about needing to be careful to make sure the crevices where it folds are very clean but it's easy to do that and worth being able to store it away without it getting stuck on the drawer. Works very well as a masher when it is locked into the open position, really glad to have found it.

I tried a different non-stick pan safe masher that overwhelmingly under performed to stated benefits. this product has a wide plastic non-stick safe pan masher on the end of a swivel down stainless steel down rod that provides ample leverage to mash your food product. It does not crumple under the vigorous pressure of food mashing and performs as expected
