The media could not be loaded. My daughter has chosen it as a gift for a friend, but really wanted one for herself as well. This doesn’t happen very often so we bought another one on Amazon. It arrived the next day. The design of the box is very sharp. Snake itself.. “cute” would be the wrong word, but catches your eye definitely. The small egg-shaped remote fits nicely in a child’s hand. Came with the batteries already installed in the remote (the protection film needed to be removed, our batteries flew out when I did, but I managed to put them back relatively quickly, I know some reviewers complained it was an impossible task. It’s a bit tricky, but not impossible). Extra batteries included in the box. And then the fun began. My daughter is enjoying it thoroughly, planning little tricks on our family members, excluding me, I made her promise. The snake moves fast, can make turns. It is not silent though. It does make a noise of a mechanical toy. As for the durability, too soon to tell. It looks quite sturdy and it doesn’t look cheap or poorly assembled.

Did come with batteries for the remote control. The actual snake is rechargeable with a cord using usb. Once you activate it, it goes forward and you direct it right or left with separate buttons. You can press the forward button again to stop it. It moves fast, the snake head stays upright while the body sways with forward movement, and there's a red light shining from the mouth/tongue. It works great on the hardwood, and still good on our throw rug. My 7 and 3 year both use it and are very entertained. Made for a great gift.

The media could not be loaded. I bought a croc too so my grandsons could have battles. Snake moves fast and after harassing the croc wound up under the couch. Croc moved very slow and made menacing noise, but stood his ground. I’d call it a DRAW and there will be a rematch. We’re they worth the approx $60 I paid for both? These are not toys that will last, not be played with for hours but for scaring the daylights out of grandma, mom and even the dog….worth every dollar. Kids love to scare adults and with these, terror will reign.

It didn't work so well and on the second day, it had so much hair on its wheels that it could barely work without it crashing into a wall or turning to the left when the forward button was pushed. It worked pretty well for the first while but it didn't work very well later. Also, it barely followed the remote controls commands so there were a lot of close calls with it breaking. It was a good toy until the hair got on its wheels where it could barely work but it went a lot slower and it went in basically a big circle when it went forward.

The remote has to be calibrated, but is done with the same button used to make it move forward. Therefore, if you hold the button to make it move, it goes into calibration settings, and stops working, so I get to go through the setup again, and again, and again. Poor design, stop selling this half-baked, broken, crap..., please......

This was a birthday present and let me tell you, it was a hit with all the kids! It was so fun to play with and it the way it slithers across the floor is so cool! It's easy to control and comes with extra batteries.

I gave this snake toy as a Birthday Gift to my niece, and she loved it so much! She has had a blast playing with her siblings! The RC Snake toy is very well-made; the design and slithering movements on a hard flat floor are incredibly realistic. It looks like a real snake egg, and so cute and easy to use！

As I mentioned in two earlier reviews, my female co-worker of over 30 years started a war of pranks by placing a stuffed mouse in my coffee make nearly necessitating a change of underwear on my part.I'm going to give her a couple of weeks to lull her into a false feeling of security and then use this snake, which is very life-like.Stay tuned.
