My kitty loves this cat tree!
I wanted a shorter height cat tree with 3 levels for my kitty. Also wanted the platforms to be big enough so she would fit, and feel comfortable. This cat tree is wonderful; height is great, 3 platforms are roomy and covered with soft faux fur.My kitty loves it, she uses her cat tree every day, plus she likes to scratch on the rope covered posts.Very easy to put together, all the parts were included.Price fit our budget. For extra support; so the tree wouldn't move around when my kitty jumps on it, I put 4 bricks on the bottom flat part to anchor the tree.Works great.

TRIXIE cat post
I like this cat scratch post because it has a small footprint base and the cat is up high at my head/ shoulder level to pet and talk to. He loves to scratch it. Can order replacement posts. It has 3 levels that he can jump on to get to the top one.

Great cat tree, use with caution
I got this cat tree to fit under a window so my cats can climb into a window bed. I read other reviews on this tree and they mentioned needing to stabilize it because it tips over. As it sits under a window, next to a wall, that isn't as much of a concern. However, I do have a set of dumbbells sitting on the base to give it extra weight and I did wind a strap around the pole right under the very top platform and cinch that to the wall to keep the top stabilized. That has less to do with the fact that it could tip when a cat hits that top platform with its full force, but more to do making it feel secure for the climbing feline. The cats were less inclined to go up to the window when the cat tree shifted around. Now it's secure up against the wall and shifts, but doesn't wobble violently, they are very happy to run up and down to get into that window and do some bird watching! All said—you get what you pay for, it's not super-secure free-standing on its own (what cat tree is? They're all just cardboard tubing wrapped in jute or cheap carpet!), but against a wall, with some added weight as necessary, it works just great!

Returned
It really only took a few minuets to assemble, very easy. It's a nice size and fits in the corner. I did screw it to the floor because it is not stable and now I have to figure a way to secure it to the wall. If you have a cat that likes to jump on and off you don't want them to knock this over. Worth the money and will be great when I am done securing it well.EDIT: Well, I gave up. I put bricks on the base, screwed it to the floor and the cat got on it once and then that was it. It wobbles and just not safe and the cat is smart enough to not trust it. Too bad because it's good looking and just the right size.

Best for smaller cats and needs bracing, but great for the price
Great cat tree, especially for the price. As others have noted, the base is small which makes it inherently pretty unstable, and you'll most likely need to brace it somehow. I positioned this next to a short, fairly solid piece of furniture, and used a cargo strap to loop around the furniture and secure it to one of the posts on the cat tree. That's been plenty adequate. You could also use a heavy sandbag across the base, or attach a furniture bracket (like the ones you'd use to prevent bookshelves from tipping over) to the underside of the middle shelf and attach it to the wall. You can find a method that works for you, just be aware without bracing of any kind your cat might find it too wobbly and unstable to use.My cat took awhile to start using this tree, but now she loves it. I've had a hard time getting my cat to scratch appropriate stuff (she's had like six different sorts of scratching posts but always goes for the couch instead), but she LOVES the posts on this and uses them often. She really likes to sit on the top shelf and get a high up view out our patio doors. She is a fairly small cat though, only about 8.5 pounds; if she was really big, I'm not sure she'd find the shelf size on this tree very roomy. My box was missing a piece, the very top platform wasn't there, but I didn't notice until I'd assembled everything else and I did NOT want to take it apart, rebox it, and ship it back to Amazon for replacement. Instead I contacted the company that makes it, Trixie Pets, and asked if they could ship just that individual part to me. They were super responsive and had it on the way to me the next business day.Overall I'm really happy with it, it's been holding up well and it's on about the same level of quality as cat trees I see in my local pet shops for 2-3x the price. I wish the base was bigger, as that's a pretty significant design flaw, but coming up with a way to solve that problem was easier than coming up with a lot more money to buy a different cat tree. :D

Best $ spent on a cat tree.
Oh my goodness this is one of the best under $30.00 product I have spent my money one. I have a new kitten. So it is really important to teach them young to use scratching posts for their claws (or it will be your furniture). I have purchased several Cat Condos as I have always had a cat or two on my home. And yes, I have spend over a hundred for a couple of trees. No better in quality as this one. They all get trashed because the rope gets shredded in about a year. Five, count them five perfect scratching posts!!!!!! in this very sturdy, tall enough yet small profile cat tree.. None of my cats have ever used the condo part of the tree so I was delighted this did not have one.. Worth every dime... Another review mentioned the bottom bolts scratched his floors. Well he must not have put them in right as the bottom is hollowed out to accommodate the depth of the washer, and screw. took me less than 10 min. to assemble. I have brand new tile floors and they do not touch at all. When this is shredded up then I plan to buy another. Money well spent!!!!!!!!Update...Still love this product. Months later cat has shredded one of the posts. Decided to buy another and the price when up $12.00 so I changed my mind and decided to buy some rope and fix it. Nailed it!!!! Now I can keep this in the living room. My cat is very rough with it and yes, has knocked it over as he pounced off. But, I like that is does not take up a bunch of real estate and looks nice. The underside of the shelves and perch are covered too. Great product. Will buy this brand again.
