Q: What is the real space available for the user? i Need at least 230GB free...

On mine, after reformatting to Apple's HFS+ journaled file system, I had 248,125,304,832 free bytes available. The raw capacity was 248,437,014,528 bytes.

Q: Anyone had this for 3-5 mos or longer and still happy with it? Still working well? Thanks in advance!

Works perfectly and fast. Nice even loading between 21MBPS & 31 MBPS. I t settles in evenly somewhere between these numbers and loads in almost the exact number all across the (in my case) music until they are are all loaded. In my case about 28MBPS. I use NTFS file format. Perhaps exFat may be a little faster of slower, I haven't tried it as It was fine and I didn't want to format the drive just to find out. I did a fast format at the start to leave the drive completely empty as I didn't need locked security. I am 'assuming' it works as advertised. Playback was flawless. Function fallowed fit which was just right from Rxer, to car, to PC. No sloppiness or 'collapsing' when inserting drive. I've found all Sandisk's to be well made, and most important, reliable, for years but this specific model has very little heat build up and 'all in all' is the best I've ever used so far. The exact opposite of a certain brand starting with a 'P' which runs hot and is guaranteed to eventually fail and the loss of about 5600 songs can be devastating. Getting the songs to run in the exact same order as recorded on the CD is a continuous problem and I haven't figured out yet to set that and all USB's seem to do it. I'm fairly sure there is a way but I haven't found the exact way to do this on any brand. Suggested solutions gratefully appreciated. Aside that, this is a winner and at $11.99 new, a very good deal. Removable storage. Unless you use it as a Windows To Go drive, when it would be read as a hard disk drive.

Good drive

Reputable brand, good drive, good speeds. All rounder that works great 9/10 would have liked an emmc with faster transfers but I can't be too picky.

worked perfectly for updating my new gaming PCs bios. very fast transfer speeds and connected right away. great design and it fit in tight spot. also the USB retracts to protect itself from getting damage. highly recommend

Great Drive But Issue With Included Software

This SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive works exactly as you would expect it to. Transfers to and from the card seem to work quite quickly. The drive is about standard size, and like many others, has a slide button to slide the USB connector in and out. It also has a blue light that indicates readyness, and transfer activity. The drive is labeled in a way that makes it clear which side needs to be turned up for it to be inserted properly. (I hate drives that you have to try one way, and then the other, because you can't tell simply by looking at them which side should be turned up.) Finally, there is a molded, hole, in the curve at one end, to allow the drive to be carried on a key chain.The one negative I found, which is the reason this is a four-star and not a five-star review has to do with the software on the drive. There is an executable that I believe has to do with drive security. When I ran it, it recognized that there was an update for the program, downloaded the update, but then the update would not run.I paid full Amazon price for this flash drive. I wrote this review just to try to help others learn a little about it. I hope you found this review helpful. On the other hand, if you did not find this review helpful, I’d be interested in hearing why, so that I can attempt to edit it and make it more helpful to both you and others. So far, so good!

The installation was a bit tricky, but I'm really not all that adept at technology, and it stores my files well. It came with installation instructions, but I'm currently unsure whether I'd be allowed to delete them, so it's a few gigs off, but I really don't mind. Super compact, and my family has always loved this brand. Granted, it's only been a day, but I will update if any problems arise.
