this stuff is awesome. i have an art collection, but old frames can be tough to find -and now i’m able to make some of my new frames old without submitting them to a hundred years of dust, dirt, and smoke. i recommend following the directions, and building up slowly in multiple thin layers.

This antiquing glaze flows smoothly, handles easily, and imparts a soft, lustrous, 24-carat glow to raw, too-shiny gold leaf. However, I give this product only four stars because its instructions fail to state how rapidly the glaze dries. It was necessary for me to sand, re-gold leaf, re-seal, and then re-glaze nearly half of my project (a very small table) because the glaze dried in certain areas within several minutes. I will continue to use this glaze because of its excellent color, applicability, and finish but will work henceforth in only very small areas at a time. Mona Lisa, please update your instructions!
