Big value in a little banjo
I bought this little dude two and a half years ago, but waited to write my review. Outstanding intonation after I replaced the strings. Unfortunately, the tuning pegs are the weakest link. They started getting sloppy after about six months. I'd never played banjolele or uke, or banjo until I purchased this. It was a therapy goal of mine to learn a new skill. I've gotten sooo freakin good! Little banjo buddy has held up well, other than the crappy tuners. It's still playable and remains in tune, now that my new strings are broken in. I love this little fella! After 2.5 years, I still play everyday. I'd recommend purchasing a capo for this. Playing in the same key, at different places on the neck, this guy shows versatility. This is a pretty versatile instrument. Whether playing rhythm in a Dixieland band or singing the hymn at my gramma's funeral, this banjo can wail! Excellent value, excellent experience. God bless and Go Ducks!

Best value around.
I can hardly believe the value I got here. This is a great little instrument, sounds and plays as good as one costing 3 times as much. Even the pickup sounds great through an amp. I am very pleased. Would recommend to anyone.

A sturdy instrument.
I agonized over which banjolele to get. I had $100 to spend and wanted to get the best one in that price point. I read about what to look for and read a ton of reviews. I also watched several YouTube video reviews. My last two picks were this Kmise banjolele or the Aklot in this price range. I decided to finally bite the bullet and get this one.It has a great sound and it is surprisingly a very sturdy little instrument. I’m glad I got it!My experience with my ukulele is that it takes about two weeks for the strings to settle down to keep the tuning and I have no doubt this will be the same case with this instrument.I want to give a 5-star. But….the tuner doesn’t work well. It registered only my two low strings. It didn’t even pick up that my two higher strings were being plucked. I used my ukulele tuner and all is well for me. You may want to buy a meatier tuner (or use the free app GuitarTuna and use the ukulele setting).Other than the tuner, don’t hesitate to consider this one. I think you will be happy with it.

An Easy Transition
I am pleased with this banjolele. It is inexpensive, easy to set up, and sounds good. If you are already a ukulele player, the transition to this banjolele is really easy. The tuning is the same so chords are the same and notes are in the same place on the frets. This is an easy way of getting a whole different type of sound.

Solid Build and Company is Responsive!
Bought the banjolele just to have the variety of sound as I learn the ukulele. This was a great deal with some positive video reviews on line so I took a chance and am very happy that I did. While I don't have another banjolele to compare this to, I can say that it feels solid in the hands and I like the ready-to-play complete package that it is bundled with.Impressively, I received to an email from them after purchase that seemed like a blanket email just checking in and inviting me to ask any questions. I did. I wanted to know how to pronounce the brand name. They responded within 24 hours that it is pronounced "K-mizz." Interesting, and now I know.Even more impressively though, I found a manufacturing defect with an apparent piece of debris under the laminate on the drum cylinder that was causing a bubble in the laminate. I sent the seller a photo with a description of the problem and they sent out a replacement - can't argue with that customer service at all.Because of that customer service experience and the quality of this banjolele, I have since purchased two more Kmise instruments: a tenor and a concert ukulele. Why? Because at the prices paid, I feel like I am getting a great value, so this new hobby of mine has become very inexpensive to allow me to expand to an ukulele tuned to low G in the tenor, and the concert just because I fell in love with the design - no other reason, happy birthday to me.Bottom line: I highly recommend this banjolele as well as the other Kmise instruments.
