Great product
I have a 16 guns safe , the safe in the garage and sometime the garage get below 40 degree, I been using 18"golden rod , the rod can not keep the safe below 50% humidity, with PEET dryer my gun safe humidity staying at 46% even when the weather get below 40, highly recommended PEET dryer.

Works great
This is a great idea, their boot driers are used by me daily and have lasted forever. This thing warms the safe up way better than the rods do and it doesn't take up a lot of room

Good Product
Good product. Works fine. The included plug is completely junk and I couldn’t get it to work. I just bought a plug from a big box store like others mentioned .I would buy again. I have their boot warmer. Ahh dry boots.

Works great
I read a ton of reviews before purchasing this item. I was a bit confused about the plug assembly and why people were so frustrated. As well as the concerns if it actually works or not. Let me address these two concerns. The plug assembly just needs a little care when installing. Make sure you read and understand the directions. If you do not do this right it will not penetrate both wires and you will not have power. I plugged the unit in and waited and waited and nothing. Then I realized the blue light wasn't on and I needed to review my work. Took it apart and realized I only punctured one wire. Made sure the wire was seated well and installed again and all was perfect. Keep in mind this is setup this way so you can feed the wire if you don't have power inside your safe which is a great idea. This isn't meant to move a bunch of air. It takes a few minutes and if you hold your hand over it you can feel the warm air. This is not that different than a rod type system but for me it works a ton better and is more reliable. At the end of the day for me this was the perfect solution and takes up very little space in my safe. I feel like it is a bit overpriced for what it is but I bought it and am very happy with it so...

CAUTION!!! COULD CATCH FIRE!!!
If I could leave zero stars for this I would. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you are looking for your firearms/valuables to go up in smoke... or worse, your home. I was looking to replace my dehumidifier rod in my gun safe with something better so I decided to give this a try. After receiving it in the mail today, I assembled the cord and outlet plug per the instructions provided with it. After emptying out my safe so I could place this in a back corner, I plugged it into the interior outlet of my safe. Immediately upon plugging it in, a spark shot out and my breaker tripped. I do not see this having a very large draw so it is very concerning that it managed to trip the breaker. I also noticed that the tip on one of the outlet prongs had partially melted as a result of this. I have a top of the line Liberty safe with an interior outlet and I have never encountered such a problem with any of the dehumidifying rods.Just to verify it was nothing on my end and that it still worked, I reset my breaker and plugged this unit into a wall outlet ditectly. Nothing crazy happened when plugging it in and it soon began warming up as it should. So after letting it run for a few minutes I unplugged it. When I pulled the plug out, an even larger spark shot out this time, scorching my outlet.I will be returning this item and will also be seeking reimbursement costs for replacing my outlet. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase. Hopefully the customer service with this company is better than the quality control. I have attached pictures to show how dangerous this product is. I was very excited to try this out but I now will be sticking with the good old reliable rod and cans of silica pellets.

Really The Best Gun Safe Dehumidifier Money Can Buy
I really dont understand some of the negative reviews about this dehumidifier. Most are related to the electrical plug that has to be attached to the cord, as the factory leave it off in case you are sleeving the small cord thru a hole on the safe to reach an outside plug. So you have to slip on the cord cap to the cable and it has 2 blades that dig into the cable to make contact. YOU MUST PUSH THE CABLE ALL THE WAY IN TO THE CORD CAP AS HARD AS YOU CAN and it will make contact. I am a license Master Electrician and when I first did it, the item did not turn on. There is a blue light on the unit showing you when it is on. So I pulled it apart and really pushed the cable inside the cord cap and it worked perfect after that.A very small amount of air comes out of the top of the unit and my 30 gun safe went from 77% humidity to 30% overnight. DOES NOT MAKE YOUR GUN SAFE HOT like the other brands out there. I did not want my safe hot as I also store silver and gold inside it as well. Heat is the worst thing for precious metals. This item does the trick. So if you have guns and precious metals you dont want hot like other gun safe dehumidifiers, this is the one to get. In fact, I cant believe anyone has anything else. I had a 12 inch heating rod from a prominent company that I used for years. It is now prominently and appropriately in the local garbage landfill.
