Rembrandt. The Complete Paintings Hardcover – 1 July 2020

Bought for my daughter doing A-level art. This an outstanding collection of prints and descriptions - Stunning. I'd say very good value. It's very heavy and very large - so is not a carry around - more of a reference book

I read the first review on this item prior to ordering it, which was critical of some aspects of the print quality. I ordered the book anyway. I want to stress that the print quality is amazing. I have worked for 20 years in the print and graphic industry, I also have a hons degree in fine art. This book is an absolute must for anyone interested in Rembrandt. There are no issues about quality. It is excellent and incredibly value for money.

Well, how can you not give it 5 stars? I was expecting something like the similar Taschen volume I have on Van Gogh, but this thing just dwarfs it. It is enormous and sumptuous. Be warned, it is massive, and immensely heavy. You cannot even think of picking it up with one hand. As a coffee table book, well it is bigger, heavier and to be fair probably more expensive than my coffee table. The text is great and the pictures are divine. What else can I say?

This is a superbly beautiful book. If it is at all within your budget, you have space for a huge brick of a book, and you are an admirer of Rembrandt's work, I would not hesitate to purchase this.Regarding the white specks that were so annoying to another reviewer, I don't know why my experience is so different. There are very few pages in my copy that have any specks at all, and those specks tend to be limited to an area along the edge on the matte black border around the glossy paintings. It is really almost a non-issue in my copy.The first half of the book presents each painting beautifully reproduced. The second half goes back through in a very attractive and readable way and gives detailed information about each image.

This is a serious and comprehensive book. The quality is excellent.

A must have for every Rembrandt fan. The book is definitely worth your money and time. All of the reproductions in the book are printed in high quality. You won't regret buying this book!

This is a volume to treasure for life. Produced on high-quality paper, the standard of reproduction is excellent. It does weigh a lot, so can only be looked at on a table or lectern.
