Sony ACID Music Studio 8.0 Software

Or at least I did. Asio driver software is much needed for latency, which is a music-scientifical way of saying "lag time", between tracks. I had it baaaad bro, then a very nice person mentioned asio compatible drivers and the like, so that helps pull the sound/tracks together to a point where I nearly don't notice/is acceptable to me. there is a driver/interface on amazon that's about 100 bucks used, and that looks like it would fix the problem completely, which I'll maybe get one day, that or another digital 8 track and use this software as a digital mixer for conversion to a digital file. All in all I recommend this, and for the price it can't be beat, even with an asio driver software thing, it would still have you well under the 300 dollars you'd need for pro-tools, which is the bar that's been set for music software, so get this, then a digital interface, the asio if you need it, and you're still under the 300 dollar mark.

I had trouble booting the software after installation. It was having trouble reading the C++ library, which I was able to correct via Sony's FAQ site. There was also a file the software installed that caused it to read all of the DLLs on my entire Windows installation. Halfway through, it would just freeze up. I could not correct that without help, so I emailed customer service for Acid. It took them a few weeks to respond, but they did reply with a personalized answer. Fortunately, there also happened to be an easy solution. I had to delete the bad file. When I rebooted ACID, the software regenerated the file, but without the bug. Now that the installation is corrected, the .exe file loads almost instantly, particularly if you return to one of your active ACID projects. It takes a bit of commitment to learn how to use ACID, but it has plenty of nice features, particularly for only $60.

"Imagination studio" good name because as far as your imagination can go this product can stay with you. If a person knows how to operate a home studio this is a excellent product !!!

All you need to do is google "asio4all" and download the asio drivers, install it (very simple) and your latency problems with ACID and most all oither DAWs will be history! Best of all though is it's free if I remember correctly.

very easy to edit music and play around with a few things but very hard to learn from a beginners stand point on making music.
