How much Gloss Varnish do i need to properly coat an 18"x24" Canvas?

There is a formula for paint coverage on YouTube that specifies the number of ounces/grams needed to cover a canvas. I'm not sure if it would answer your needs, but here it is. Measure your canvas height and width then multiply them by each other to get the square inches. Multiply the square inches by 0.1 to get the ounces needed to cover your canvas. To convert to grams, multiply the ounces by 28. This is only a rough guide as the paint consistency will affect coverage, i.e., the thinner the paint, the fewer ounces needed.

What is the effective difference between normal matte medium and the matte fluid medium?

The normal matte medium will only produce a matte effect on the paint. The matte fluid medium will give the same matte effect, but will also lessen the viscosity of the acrylic paint you’re mixing in making it thinner and slightly more transparent (depending on the amount of medium added).

can it withstand high heat ?

Yes it will but I wouldn't put it outside in the direct sun. You would need a varnish for that.
