279838 Dryer Heating Element

Easy to install, fits and works well.

Product worked great for 16 months then stopped heating. Contacted customer support and they sent out a replacement right away. While replacing parts found issue was with the coil. It had snapped. The wiring could probably be a bit thicker to remedy this.

We have a Kenmore 110 series dryer that would not heat, bad element. This kit swapped out perfectly (changed out everything supplied) and the dryer is now functioning perfectly. Took less than a half hour for whole job. Half of that time spent cleaning under and behind the dryer lol. Great product and phenomenal price.

Exact part we needed, arrived quickly, didn't have to wait for a parts department to order. Easy and straight forward to install, left me without a dryer for less than 24 hrs!

I bought this item back in November 2025 and broke down in july 2026. So it lasted about 8 months. Its fair for the price I think. I give it a 4 stars because it didnt even last a whole year. I am buying another heating element to replace this replacement now. Would definately recomend if you are trying to save some serious cash, since it's easy to install and fits perfectly and it has all the other add ons that way you dont need to looking around for those in case they tear when you are replacing the new heating element.

This worked great and was easy to install. It was compatible with my Roper dryer. Turns out that wasn’t what was wrong with my dryer but I’m glad that I have a new one now anyway. I got is at a great price.

My Whirlpool dryer stopped heating, so while I was looking for a new element, I came across this package and decided that I might as well replace everything while I had the back off. For the price of the kit, it's pretty much a no-brainer.Got my package the next day, but it was only the element, so I asked for a replacement. It arrived two days later, so I pulled the dryer out of its cubby and replaced everything. It was pretty quick to complete. Took longer to get the dryer to a place where I could work on it than it took to replace everything.I started it up, element glowed and was getting nice hot air out of the vent, so I called it done and put it back together and maneuvered it back in place. That's when the problems started. It ran for a little bit and then stopped tumbling and the dryer got really hot, so I turned it off. After it cooled, I pulled it back out and discovered that the thermal fuse did its job and shut it down. Luckily I still had the old thermal fuse, so I put it back in place. I checked all the thermostats and the element for continuity and they all were good, so I plugged back in and ran it. It heated back up and seemed to be doing good, until the high limit thermostat cut the power to the element and I noticed that only half of the element shut off. That's not what it's supposed to do. I turned on the air dry cycle that uses no heat, only air and I noticed that the same side of the element heated up. That's when I knew I had a problem.The one thing I didn't check before I put everything in place was for continuity between the element and its cover. Sure enough, it was bad. Looks like one or more of the insulators on that side was not working properly and it was getting juice as soon as the dryer was turned on.Luckily, I had been lazy and hadn't returned the other original element that I had received, so I checked it and it was good and put it on. Problem solved and I have a working dryer again.Long story short, when you check the element, make sure you check for continuity between the posts and between the post and element case itself. That will help save you any headaches later on.The element that I am putting back in the return box has obviously been used, so I am putting a note in the box to let the seller know why it's been used. Hopefully they won't charge me for element. If they do, I'll update this post with my observations about their customer service.

Worked great and got the dryer up and running again. One small piece broke off but we reused the old one we already had.

Vraiment très satisfaite. Je n'était pas certaine à 100% mais ma sécheuse fonctionne bien de nouveau. J'ai rechercher avec le numéro de pièce et tout était parfait. Facile à changer

Old Kenmore dryer quick blowing heat. shoot!Quick Youtube search found the issue could be one of three parts. Wasn't sure exactly which one initially and didn't want to pull it apart till I had to. So, ordered this kit, came with all the pieces that would possibly be wrong. Swapped all the new parts in, and 20 minutes later "presto!" it was working just like new!I was a little concerned about quality after opening the package but comparing to the old parts, looked exactly the same.**My issue ended up being the heater coil had snapped. But always nice to have all the parts needed and get it all fixed up.Don't throw these old appliances out, often easier to fix than the new fandangled machines.

This dryer heating element fit our old Whirlpool dryer and works well so far. Also came with a timer switch, which my husband attached to the new heating element. Would recommend this product.Update: The heating element only lasted for a month and stopped working. Three quarters of the unit looks burnt. Unable to return it as it was passed the 30 day return window. Definitely do not recommend!
