Only worked for my inner tie rods after i took the grinder to it to modify it to fit. Had I not been in need to finish the repair and get the vehicle back on the road quickly I would have returned it. Likely would recommend getting the Princess Auto version instead.

Only problem is the locking ring pops off from time to time

I used this to replace my Inner Tie Rod on my Transporter. Initially it looked good quality, however it wasn't strong enough for the job. It started to round off the tie rod flat's because the tool was spreading and slipping. I had to force on the next size down so it was a very tight fit just to remove the tie rod, and the same when I fitted the new one.The different sized attachments are very skinny and are a sloppy fit in the end of the extension. This is allowing them to spread apart and slip on the flats of the tie rod.Not only that but the extension piece would not fit over the knuckle of the tie rod to reach the flats it needed to engage on. I only just managed to get purchase between the adaptor and the extension.A shame because it looked like a nice piece of kit.

Worked as expected. If your a guy who’s going to do this job a couple of times then I’d say this product will do the trick. If your planning on doing multiple jobs then I’d go with a press tool.
