Good product.

Overkill for my set up, but it was a great tool to measure PH and salinity in my marine tank. Double-checked with standard salinity and PH strips, and the numbers seemed on point.

I use this with my Environmental Science class to do water quality sampling. Please keep that in mind when reading my review- if you are in a university lab, you probably have more familiarity with such instruments, whereas this was my first time setting something like this up and using it.I found the directions pretty hard to follow to set up the machine. It comes with a "quick start" card, and some of the calibration instructions are different compared to what's in the instruction booklet. Not by much--but just enough to leave a newbie like me confused a bit. Despite that, I eventually got the machine figured out and ready to go. It works just fine for our purposes- I can't attest to how accurate and precise it really is, as again, I do not work in a major lab and am not really familiar with such fancy machinery.Once the machine is set up, it's very easy to use. I love the little "arm" so you don't have to hold the probe in your liquid sample- quite convenient. I also like how the machine has the potential to work with other probes (for example, you can buy a pH probe and it has hookups and the capability to read pH), how large the readout display is, and that it has multiple capabilities if you buy it as-is (conductivity, resistivity, TDS, and salinity).This probe is great for my purposes- it would be interesting to see a review from a larger lab that actually would use this on a more regular basis to see how well it works at a higher level.
